CHAPTER 49

" So, are you from around here?" Del asks and dips his hands in his jeans. He's dressed in a causal look and has one ear pierced.

" No, we're in a vacation."

" Who's we?"

" My boyfriend and I."

" Oh, everyone getting cuffed these days huh? Thought I would try my luck with you." He says and smiles, a perfect smile.

I silently laugh. " Well...you know what they say, there's still more fish in the sea."

The icy rain turns to drizzle.

" Should I give you a ride or?"

" No, please... I'll be fine. I'll just wait for him a bit longer."

" It's not good for a fine lady like you to wait outside at this hour. Have you tried calling him?" He asks and steps closer, his eyes....they look like mine.

" Yes and he left his phone with me, his coat." I shrug my shoulders.

We both chuckle.

" Well, it was nice meeting you." He says and offers his hand again.

" The pleasure is all mine."

His hands are soft and big. He walks down the wet side walk and with a short wave, he disappears on the other side.

Tray

"What took you so long?" Hal asks as I open the cab door for her.

" I couldn't find a cab at this hour. This just happened to be the only one available." I tell her and sit next to her, holding her cold hands. The drive is smooth expect the loud horns and the harsh rain. I hug her close to my chest and she slowly falls asleep. I gather her in my arms once the cab halts and carry her up the stairs. By the time I reach our hotel room, I'm tired and I feel like my head is gonna come out soon.

But she's my queen and I have to treat her like one.

I lay her on the bed and remove her boots. I don't want to wake her up and disturb her by changing her clothes so I cover her with the white duvet and head to the bathroom for a late shower. Once I finish, I get dressed in only my boxer briefs, climb into bed and gather Hal in my arms, holding her close.

I bury my nose into her hair and inhale her scent.

Her scent is home.

I think,thatmaybe,I had been asleep for almost four hours when the smell of coffee wakes me up. I slip through the door to the balcony and find Hal leaning on the top rail, wearing those damn shorts I madly love.

Her black hair streams down her back and her arms. I study the beautiful calves of her legs and the

daintiness of her feet.

I sigh.

The sound of my sigh startles her.

" How long have you been spying on me?"

" I wasn't spying."

" And what were you doing?"

" Admiring the most beautiful woman."

I walk towards her and wrap my arms around her waist. She takes a slow, deep breath and then slowly let it out.

"It sure is beautiful and peaceful here. Too bad we only got one day before we go back."

" Yea. I was starting to get used to this...Us two. Our privacy."

She sighs.

" But babe, no matter where we go or windup living, I'll forever remember this place. This is one of those place that lucky people have to always come back to."

" It feels like home, Tray. I want us to get a house like this in future, with this perfect view."

" And our small Tray junior and his sister running along at the beach."

Hal slaps my arm that is wrapped around her waist on top of my other arm.

" Are you serious about Tray junior and little Hal?"

"As serious as a multimillionaire deal." I calmy reply.

She spins and throws her arm around my neck, slamming her mouth into mine. Our tongues meet and when our lips part, she speaks first.

" This balcony is the perfect place to make those babies."

" I know that."

The bed is only a few steps from us but we're so caught up by our passion that we begin pulling our clothes from each other and kissing and nipping at each other's body. We're both naked and gradually melting on the floor. I ask Hal if she wants to go to bed but she replies No and tells me not to stop. So I don't stop  as her screams get louder and LOUDER.
