chaeyoung and hoseok were discharge earlier in the week but jungkook was let out on new year's eve.
the boy had a broken arm and nothing more which mimi was thankful for.
when they arrive at mimi's apartment everyone else is there and they're decorating so they can celebrate. there were hats, poppers, horns and other new years decorations.
they sit down and watch Love Alarm, it's a kdrama mimi and taehyung have been wanting watch but never found the time.
the group grabs popcorn and snacks and sit down watching the show and laughing.
at one point jungkook got up to get more popcorn and mimi was right next to him telling him to sit down and that she'll get it.
"mimi, i can get it myself." he says while laughing gently.
"no, im getting it. go sit down." she says to the boy and he listens after sitting there for a minute.
she gets him more popcorn and sits down next to him. he smiles at her as she plops down on the couch and they continue the show.
when the countdown starts, everyone gets excited waiting for it to hit 10 seconds.
25 seconds...
the tv reads and everyone is rushing to grab drinks and poppers and accessories.
"10" mimi says, already ready for the new year.
"9" she says motioning everyone to come sit back down.
"8" they say together sitting next to their friends.

"HAPPY NEW YEAR!" they all shout hugging each other and drinking their beverages.
what the group didn't expect was to see tae and tzuyu kissing while giggling.
that put tension in the air and the group look at certain people with flushed cheeks.
"oh what the hell." jihyo says then she's walking in namjoon's direction. she grabs his shirt and kisses him.
mimi's eyes widen and looks shocked so does everyone else's.
"what a twist this took.." mimi says while looking away.
"well can i have your guys' attention please." mimi says while standing up on a chair.
they all look towards her and she begins.
"let's make a promise." she smiles. they look at her confused for a moment, so she continues.
"let's make a promise, that no matter what we'll stay by each other's side. we'll fight of course, that's what people do but we'll always come back. let's promise to be each other's second family. let's promise to be stronger than the rest of other friend groups. let's promise to love each other through thick and thin and always be there for each other." she says, they're all looking at her with a genuine smile.
she sticks out her pinkie finger and they all do the same, promising to stay by each other's sides.
their pinkies link with each other's pinkies and they all laugh at how it went from a shocking to meaningful moment.
"yeah i'll remember this." yoongi laughs and they continue to celebrate.
when the night settles down and everyone else is asleep, jungkook lays in mimis bed playing with the puppy.
mimi comes out of the bathroom humming not knowing that the boy was in her room.
the dog makes a little bark and scares her. she puts her hand on her chest and sighs.
"dang it you two. go sleep in your own bed." she sigh while jungkook laughs.
"no thanks, your beds comfy." jungkook says getting underneath the blanket.
"yeah i know that's why it's MY bed." she says emphasizing that it's her bed.
"aww please." jungkook pouts and she sighs waving her hand.
"hey mimi." the boys says getting her attention once again. she hums in response.
she currently about to lay in her bed and when she does she realizes how close he is.
"what're you doing?" she says while laughing nervously. he looks towards her lips and it clicks for her.
"i never got the chance to do it before." he says then kisses her.
she feels a chill down her spine and kisses back. the puppy sits between them minding her own business as the two kiss. when they pull away mimi covers her face.
the boy just laughs and turns the other direction and they fall asleep.
