• chapter ten

the next morning mimi wakes up extra early to go check on jungkook. although she's upset at the boy, she's also upset with herself.

she left them there in the room alone. what made her think they wouldn't fight? why did she think that was a good idea? she sighs as she quietly gets ready.

she texts jungkook to wake him up and to ask what room he's in. when he finally replies, she heads to his room.

he opens the door for her, sure as heck the boy had a black eye. she frowns.

"i'm sorry." she sighs as she walks through the door. she looks over at yoongi's sleeping body and turns around to look at jungkook.

"why are you apologizing?" he asks quietly while he lays down back down on his bed. she grabs a small towel from the bathroom and wets it with cold water. wringing our the towel, she places it on his eye. he flinches, but leaves the towel there.

"because i left you two in there. i thought maybe that's all you guys needed, was to talk it out but god i was wrong and now here you are hurt." he chuckles at that.

"i've had worse, this is nothing." he points to his eye. although it's fairly dark in the room, he can tell that she's glaring at him.

"that's not the point jungkook." she whines. she lays her head down on the side of his bed and sighs.

"i'm fine mimi." he says quietly. she closes her eyes for a moment, and soon enough she's dozing off.

she wasn't planning on falling asleep when she thought of going into the boys room that morning, but the truth was, she was very tired.

she couldn't sleep much. all she could think about is how it was her fault that the fight had started in the first place.

hoseok apologized to her the previous night before falling asleep. it made her feel even worse. others were apologizing for something she was at fault for.

before she completely falls asleep she hears jungkook whisper, "i'm very thankful for you mimi." those words made her smile.

jungkook shakes the girl laying next to him. she was sleeping uncomfortably when she had first fallen asleep but jungkook moved her to his bed so she could sleep, but now he can't get her awake.

"mimi, we have to go. get up." he sighs, lightly shaking her.

"you're going to have to shake harder than that." yoongi says while watching from his bed.

"she's a deep sleeper. i'm not kidding, if you want her to wake up shake her harder." he grabs his things then goes to the bathroom to get ready. he takes yoongi's advice and shakes her a bit harder. obviously not hard enough, because she's still sleeping.

he sits there, thinking of ways to wake her up without ticking her off, but all of his ideas end in him most likely getting another black eye. he's about to just leave her when taehyung barges in.

"do you not know how to knock?" jungkook asks while looking at the panting boy weirdly.

"where's mimi?" he asks looking around the room. jungkook stands and points down at the sleeping girl. taehyung sighs in relief.

"can you wake her up? I've been trying but nothing's working." he asks. taehyung looks over at the boy with a straight face. he then walks over to mimi and pulls her off the bed.

"get up." he says and mimi is groaning and whining.

"no, I don't wanna. his bed is so comfy." she mumbles into the blanket. taehyung rips the blanket of the girls body and she whines loudly, "give it back you meanie." but the body throws it over to yoongi's bed.

she curls herself into a little ball, but doesn't leave the bed. by now, taehyung has already had enough. he grabs the girl by her ankles and pulls. she tries to grab the sheets and the pillows but taehyung is too quick and she's being dragged across the room.

"okay! okay! i'm getting up, stop dragging me!" she cries out and taehyung lets go. he dusts off his hands and looks at jungkook.

"all done." then he leaves. mimi lays there on the floor and yoongi walks out of the bathroom. he stops and looks at the scene. mimi's clothes are messed up and she's laying in the middle of the floor while jungkook stands next to his bed looking at mimi then at yoongi.

he doesn't even question the situation because he's 100% sure he already knows what went down. he purses his lips and walks to the front door. he puts on his shoes and he's out the door. soon enough the two head out the door and meet up with the other students.

mimi looks over at hoseok and he stands by himself. his entire cheek is bruised and he has a cut on his eyebrow. she looks around for jimin and finds jimin by himself towards the front of the group. the boy looks sad and upset.

the professors explain what everyone will be doing. the majority of the students will be moving desks and tables into classrooms but jungkook and hoseok have to help with more than that. the two boys were assigned with helping decorated the outside of the building. they have to rake leaves and clean up the front yard, then they'd have to help move desks and tables along with cabinets and anything else the professors decided they could do.

while mimi and taehyung are moving a table from the truck into the building they hear jungkook and hoseok bickering.

"seriously, again?" taehyung mumbles. mimi just simple ignores it and continues moving her end of the table. tae stops.

"aren't you going to shut them up?" he asks. she looks over at him then at the two bickering boys.

"I've given up. there's no hope for those two." she attempts to shrug and they continue moving the table.

a few hours later and the professors announces that it's time for a lunch break. mimi and taehyung go to a nearby café and order a drinks and small meals for their small group. when they get back they hand out the snacks and mimi notices that jimin and hoseok are arguing.

she tries to pay no attention to it until jimin is yelling and crying. her heart breaks seeing the shy boy cry, and she sees that hoseok, in the moment, doesn't care that he's crying, but someone else does.

jungkook cuts in and tells hoseok to back off but hoseok yells back for him to mind his business. hoseok shoves jungkook when he doesn't back down and this causes another fight.

mimi watches as jimin cries more and disappears somewhere, and she wonders what had happened to the three for hoseok and jungkook to hate each other this much.
