Ashton's p.o.v
"Hey ashton, I'm Luke," one of Calum's blond-haired bandmates said as I came inside.
He was nice and gave me a genuine handshake.
"This is Michael," Calum said and pointed to another boy with bleached hair. He was playing something on his guitar.
"So if you don't know, we play covers of songs. We thought our music needed some beat to it and we're happy you're here. We also post our covers so people can listen," Calum told me.
"That's sick. Do you have a name yet?" I asked.
"We're still figuring that out. Michael thought 5 Seconds of Summer was a good name, but we don't have a reason for it," Luke replied.
"Can you show us some of your skills?" Michael requested.
I took a seat on top of my box. I started to play some of teenage dirtbag. It was my favorite song at the moment.
"Dude you're amazing. That should be our next song," Calum said after the first minute.
I was so relieved he liked me. Someone actually appreciated my existence.
"Do you want to play it now?" Luke asked everyone.
Next thing I knew a camera was set up. Luke said a funny joke before sitting down with the rest of us. Michael let the audience know that I was the new drummer and we started.
I was really dumb and said," I'm so happy to be here," before we started. It was really awkward but they were cool about it.
Calum started to sing, he was good surprisingly. Then Luke started singing and he was great. And of course, Michael played his guitar like a pro.
The whole experience was better than I could ask for. 5 seconds of summer was my new source of happiness. I put my heart into this band from that day on.
Once I got home, I looked at the account online. Luke had so many great covers of so many legendary songs.
I had a new passion and a few new friends. I wouldn't be wrong to say this was the best thing to ever happen to me.
End of Chapter 3
I miss when 5sos just posted covers on YouTube. This fanfic is like a blast from the past haha.
