Ashton's p.o.v
"I can't wait to meet the rest of the boys. Don't tell them, but I think you're my favorite," she said as we started walking away from the school. She was blushing a bit.
"Is that so? I think I'm the worst," I replied.
"You're a little insecure yourself, aren't you?" Abby asked.
"Why wouldn't I be? I'm nothing compared to you," I answered.
"Don't say that. I know you're not the weirdo everyone claims you are. Don't pity yourself," she said and grabbed my hand.
Abby was holding my hand.
Come on ashton, think!
What to you do?
DO SOMETHING."How bout I make a promise. If you love yourself a little bit more, I will too. If you don't act so insecure everyday, than neither will I," I offered.
She lifted up her hand, sticking out her pinky.
"Pinky promise?" She said
"Pinky promise."
"You know that pinky promises can't be broken. It's serious," I said sarcastically.
"Who said I was going to break it?" She replied and I giggled back.
Ugh, I hate my laugh. She probably thinks I'm a dork now. But I forgot about that once I realized that I was taking Abby to my band practice. She was holding my hand. She was keeping my promise. How is this even real?
"Do you have a favorite song yet?" I asked her, trying to continue a conversation.
"I really like Gotta Get Out, only because it is your only song that you've written and produced yourselves. I think it's great. It is probably on my list of my top 10 favorite songs in the whole world," she replied.
"Really? That means a lot. I know you have great music taste," I complimented her.
"You know, that is probably the best thing anyone could ever say to me," she said and started blushing.
"You're cute when you blush," I said, without thinking first.
"Thank you," she said a little surprised and embarrassed.
She just blushed even more, and I loved it. I love everything about her, but the thing is, she doesn't love me back.
