Abby's p.o.v

"I'm just warning you now, they are a bunch of idiots. They are going to say a ton of stupid shit that you need to ignore," ashton said to me as we stood in front of the door.

I nodded my head back to him. I was a bit nervous. I really like these four people and I wonder what they will think of me.

Ashton opened the door for me and I stepped inside. Michael's house was average. It was nothing compared to my house, but I was not one to judge him or the other band members.

"Holy crap, what is she doing here?" Michael asked as soon as he saw me.

"Do you not want me here?" I asked a little hurt.

"No no no. I'm- I'm just surprised, that's all," he replied and I cheered up a bit.

"Mate, how did you get Abby to come to our band practice?" Luke asked with a dumbfounded expression on his face.

"I asked her and she wanted to come. Is there something wrong with that?" Ashton asked.

"Not at all."

I took a seat in one of the chairs in the living room. I tried to be as happy as I could, which I was extremely happy to be here.

"Do you guys know me?" I asked. It was a very stupid question to ask.

"Who doesn't know you," Calum replied.

"Do you want to watch us practice our next song. It's one Calum wrote a long time ago before we were even a band. It's going to be recorded tomorrow," Ashton asked.

"I would love to watch. I'm sure it will be great," I responded with a nice smile.

After a few minutes they were all set up and ready to perform. I wonder why they all seemed somewhat nervous.

The song was even better than I thought it would be. They have so much more talent in real life than on a screen. The best part was when Michael changed his lyrics and Calum couldn't sing the next line cause we were all laughing.

"What did you think?" Ashton asked me once he put away his instrument.

"It was perfect," I told him.

I felt that this was the perfect moment for a kiss. Like one of those passionate, adorable moments in the cinemas. Yet, I knew it wouldn't happen. Ashton would never want to kiss me like that.

"What's going on over here?" Michael came up to us.

I didn't realize that ashton started to hold my hands. I was distracted by my thoughts, staring at his lips.

"Oh, nothing," I replied for him.

Ashton seemed a little disappointed with my response. What else was I going to say, though?

"Why won't you just tell her how much you fancy her," I could hear Michael whisper in his ear.

"I'm not going to say anything. I don't feel that way about her," Ashton quickly replied, upset.

My heart felt broken. I thought ashton had feelings for me. He showed me that after school. Yet, when he was in front of his friends, he acted like a different person. Maybe he doesn't have feelings. I just hope that he isn't admitting they do exist in that huge heart of his.
