Ashton's p.o.v
Abby Taylor was coming to our band practice. What are the boys going to say? This is probably the most nervous I've been in my entire life. I couldn't be more stressed yet happy at the same time.
Right when the bell rang I ran straight outside the door. I don't care about my homework. I never have. All I care about is her.
Once most of the students left the building, Abby walked out. She saw me standing here and came up to me with a smile. She was stunning.
"Did I ever tell you how great you look today?" I asked.
"No, actually, but thank you," she replied with a smile.
Why was she so sweet?
"Michael's house isn't too far away from here. Are you okay with walking?" I asked her.
"That's fine. I could use a little exercise," she answered.
"Why do you need exercise. You're perfectly fit," I told her.
I wasn't lying. I looked straight into her eyes, showing her that.
"No one could be perfect. Everyone has flaws," Abby told me and looked at the ground.
At that moment I knew something new about her. She was insecure.
"Are you insecure?" I asked.
"Yeah. A little," Abby replied and fixed her skirt that was already perfectly fine.
"You shouldn't be. You are the most beautiful girl I've ever met. I haven't met many girls, but out of anyone else in this school, you are the most breath taking," I said and touched her arm.
She looked into my eyes as our skin touched for the first time. She seemed, pleased? I wasn't sure, but she didn't say anything or retaliate, so I knew it was okay.
"Ashton, thank you. It means a lot," she told me.
"Anything you need, just ask. I think it's time we go," I let her know.
"Yeah."
