Ashton's p.o.v
I shouldn't have let those last three words slip out of my mouth. I knew they would only hurt her, but she needs to know how I really feel at the moment."You love me?" Abby asked with a cold look on her face.
"Yes. It's taken me so long to admit it, because I know you don't feel the same way," I replied.
"Are you blind? Of course I love you! Yet, this is the time you decide to tell me? I've waited so long to hear those three words, but they were suppose to mean something more. Now you're just using them to get me to forgive you," she muttered.
I could tell she was beyond upset. I couldn't blame her. Everything she just said was right. Well, not everything. I do actually love her, every part of her, but I let it slip. I wasn't intentionally using them to get her to forgive me.
"I'm sorry. I didn't mean to say it. I was waiting for a better time. Abby, just remember there's a thing called Skinny Love. It's when two people love each other, but are too shy to admit it, yet they show it anyway. I'm sick of hiding, this so called 'Skinny Love'. It's obvious we love each other, but we are too weak to realize it and we convince ourselves every day that there is nothing between us. Don't you feel the connection when I kiss you? It's love. I love you so much more than you realize," I told her, trying to show her the truth.
I could serve it on a silver platter, right in front of her face, and she still wouldn't realize it was there.
