Ashton's p.o.v
I could finally show my hideaway to someone who would actually appreciate it. I've collected all the best albums and movies of all time. This was a hobby of mine, a passion.

"I-I love it," Abby said in awe as she took in the sight.

"I knew you would," I said with a bright smile and kissed her cheek.

"These are the best artists of all time," she said as she looked at album after album in the endless piles.

"I thought it was about time to show you. You're the first to see it," I told her as she started looking at the next pile.

"Ashton, I can't believe this is even real," she said, nearly dropping her jaw to the floor.

"Take all the time you need. I got to spend the last three years here," I said.

I took a seat on the couch in the room. I never went upstairs in the house, knowing it wasn't very safe. I only really stayed in the living room and kitchen. Everything I needed was there, so why do I need to use the rest of this house?

"Weren't you afraid to be here alone all those times?" Abby asked, looking at the stained walls and broken windows. The floors creaked and the ceiling was starting to sink.

"I'd rather be alone in this filthy house than dealing with my problems," I confessed and sighed.

"Now I understand. This would be perfect, only if it didn't smell like garbage," she said and I let out a laugh.

"You look cold, come here," I said and patted the space next to me on the squeaky cushions of the couch.

She walked over and cuddled right up next to me, my arm wrapped around her shoulder.

"What movie would you like to watch?" I asked.

"The Pursuit of Happiness," she answered and I was so pleased with her suggestion.

"That's my favorite movie," I smiled before grabbing it off the table next to me.

"I've watched this movie so many times, I know exactly where it is," I explained before putting the movie on the old tv.

"I'm glad you like it, cause I love it as well," Abby said before the movie started.

We hugged each other to keep warm as the movie played for the past two hours. It soon turned dark outside and there was no heat nor any working lights in the old place. I'm surprised the tv actually worked.

I loved it here, regardless of the conditions. This will always be my happy place. I know it will soon become her's as well.
