Abby's p.o.v
After finishing my tea I heard footsteps coming down the stairs and the floor boards creaking under each step. I saw ashton with his hair in a mess and his pajamas still on. He seemed relieved to see me sitting with Ann."I thought you left," ashton told me and sat down next to us.
"Don't worry, I'm not going anywhere," I told him, softly whacking his shoulder as a playful gesture.
"Why did you come down here anyway?" He asked and furrowed his eyebrows.
"I went to check on the two of you this morning and she was awake. I offered her some tea and she came downstairs. I didn't want to wake you up," she answered for me.
"Mum! You're not suppose to come into my room!" Ashton yelled slightly, clearly upset.
"Oh shush up! You've got a girl in your room. I had to eavesdrop," Ann laughed.
I couldn't help but laugh. Ashton just blushed.
"Don't worry about it. She's just doing what mum's are suppose to do," I told him.
"Fine, but next time I'm locking the door!" Ashton gave up.
I spent most of the morning at his house. I loved it there. It wasn't the house I loved, it was the environment. I felt so comfortable there. Ashton's house felt more like a home than my own.
I was disappointed to leave that afternoon, because I knew it would be a while since I came back. Ashton was probably embarrassed to have me there and he probably wouldn't ask me to come again. Yet, as I walked out the door, I prayed that one day he would ask. And I just smiled at the thought of being home again.
