Ashton's p.o.v
I couldn't let Abby know about my feelings. I knew it would only scare her away. I know she will never like me. She's too good for me.
It was late. Abby has been hanging out with me and my mates for a while now. We told some stories, some jokes. She really seemed to enjoy being with us, which made me so happy. But now it was getting dark, and it was time to end the fun.
"Abby would you like to go home? It's already dark outside," I asked her.
"Are you sure you want to take me home? I'm a little too far away and you shouldn't have to walk me all the way there," she replied.
"How bout you just go to Ashton's house? He's not that far from here," Calum suggested and gave me a wink.
I swear these guys are such dorks.
"I wouldn't mind," I told her.
"Are-are you sure?" Abby mumbled.
"Of course."
Soon enough, we were walking away from Michael's house together. It was cold outside and I could tell she felt uncomfortable.
"Are you alright?" I asked her.
"No, not really. I have a bit of a fear of the dark," she replied.
I wasn't expecting that, but I cared about her.
"It's okay. I'm here for you. I'll keep you safe," I comforted her and grabbed her hand.
I loved holding her hand. Her palm was so tiny when I held it in my abnormally large hands. It just felt so right.
"Thank you," she told me and continued walking.
