Kaito and Zabuza-a Naruto fic

Chapter 25

A/N hi guys really sorry for the long hiatus, but i'm back and will hopefully be updating more. it will still be pretty inconsistent but it will happen. I have no more writers block and i'm a bit more acclimated to school at this point in time. Enjoy the story and let me know what you think!

Kakashi hatake was always a family man, but when he found minato had abandoned his godson he was livid. He did all he could to find him but was constantly unsuccessful. After minato died he dug around to find where kaito was staying, he wanted to meet his last true family.

He walked up to an inn and to the front desk,

"Is kaito momochi here, we need to talk?"

Kakashi was pointed to Kaitos room by the manager. As he arrived at the room he could hear soft sobbing coming from behind the door. But only one voice was in the room. He knocked on the door, the voice inside called out

"who is it, what do you want?'

"My name is kakashi, i want to talk to you. May I come in?"

The door unlocked to reveal kaito with his head down, bangs covering his eyes.

"I'm here so talk" he said, voice still a little strained.

"I'm your godfather, and i know this sounds really bad coming from someone who hasn't seen you in years but i wanted to meet my only family left. My father is dead and i cant call Minato and Kushina family knowing what they did to you. I spent years looking for you, i never gave up but you were impossible to find. I wish I could have been there, but I can also see you have a good life right now and that Zabuza raised you right. I just wanted to tell you i was here and that if you ever need anything that i will always be ready, you are my remaining family."

Kaito slowly looked up eyes shining with fresh tears. He looked so vulnerable that Kakashi couldn't help it and dragged him into his arms.

"I killed him, I killed him, i did it, now im free" Kaito muttered. His tears were those of solemn relief. He pulled away from Kakashi after a few moments and stood tall.

"Thank you for looking for me all those lost years. I know who you are and can sense you are telling nothing but the truth, I would be honored if you came with me and my current family and joined us when we leave the village."

Kakashi immediately accepted, ecstatic at the chance to be a family with his godson.

"Why were you here all alone without your father and the rest of your family?"

"I needed time alone and I sent them all out, they were hard to get rid of but i needed space"

"The fact they were hard to get rid of shows they were worried about you, as i have been for the past 12 years. They are your family as i now hopefully can be a part of as well. Why don't we go find them?"

-at ichiraku ramen-

Kakashi and Kaito walked into the ramen stand to the sight of the joint squad and Zabuza sitting enjoying the ramen. They all turned at Kaitos arrival and stared at how close Kakashi was standing to the mini demon.

"Hey guys! This is my godfather Kakashi!" Kaito exclaimed happy at the fact he had more family.

"Yo."

The squad except Haku was gawking at Kaito, Zabuza walked over to the two and pulled Kakashi to the side.

"If you even think of hurting a hair on my sons head, you won't exist. after he and his squad are done with you i'll be next and you really don't want to experience an angry demon of the mist."

Kakashi stayed standing confidently and said "I have spent the last 12 years trying to find Kaito, now that i have i will never, ever let him go, he is my only family left."

Zabuza eyed him up and down "Now I don't think you have to worry about having no family because Kaito has an effect on people where they all seem to like him. His family is huge and now you are part of it, the seven swordsmen, the first ever joint village squad and the kakashi no sharingan as a family, all brought together by a little blond boy." Zabuza stated whole-heartedly. "And besides you're not too bad on the eyes, I wouldn't mind another addition to my family. I mean technically you are Kaitos godfather."

Kakashi's blush slightly creeped out from behind his mask as the pair of jounin walked back into the ramen shop to be greeted by an excited group of teens.
