"Homecoming week is coming! How do you feel?" Olivia asks shaking my body.

"Depressed because I'm not gonna have a date." I say working in my workbook.

Yes, we're in school right now. Homecoming is the biggest talk right now and honestly I really don't care.

"Yeah, right. You rejected like two guys. But I know you're waiting for that one ask from that special somebody." She says shoving me.

It's been a week since the basketball game my brother and Jalen had. Ever since then me and Jalen have been really close. We always FaceTime, we always talk, all of the above.

"Yeah, yeah." I say blushing.

"I mean when is he gonna make it official with you?" She asks.

Me and Jalen are in a good place right, now. We act like a couple, but in reality we're not anything. It's kinda annoying.

"And exactly how am I supposed to know that?" I ask laughing.

She lightly shrugs.

I walk down the hallways to see Jalen. His big brown eyes and him smiling at me.

"Hey." He says holding my waist.

"Wassup?" I ask.

"You should come to my house after school." He says.

"And why should I?" I teasingly ask.

"I heard that there was a cute guy that was gonna be there..." He said fake thinking.

I laugh and grab his face.

"Of course. i'll come." I say smiling at him.

After school, I head to my house and put on my swimsuit.

I go downstairs to see my parents.

"Working on a science project.. be right back!" I yell knowing that they don't care.

I hop in my Benz and drive to Jalen's house.

I open the door to see Bree. She smiles and lets me in.

"Jalen is in the back swimming." She says as she walks to her kitchen.

I walk outside to see a relax Jalen in the pool.

"There she is." He says smiling at me.

"What took you so long?"

"Oh, just my parents. No biggie." I say simply.

"Get in." Jalen insists.

"O-Okay." I say.
