I wake up to find myself in Jalen's arms. I look and notice he's on his phone, but he doesn't notice I'm up.

How tf did I end up here?

I feel my head pounding and I groan.

Jalen looks down at me and sits up and gives me water.

"Are you good?" He asks as I drink the water.

I nod and look away not wanting to talk to him.

Did he forget the fact that he's been ignoring me the past few days? And now he wants to take care of me. Like how does that make since?

"You were crazy last night. I hope you know. You said some things that really made me think." Jalen says.

What is he talking about?

"Whatever it was it didn't mean anything." I say sternly.

"Why are you being like that?" He asks.

"Like what?"

"Mean. Aggressive. Angry." He states.

"Oh, I'm sorry you must've forgotten that you ignored me at school these past few days for no reason!" I say.

"I have an explanation to that."

"I'm sure you do." I scoff.

"Makenna, I'm being serious! Can you just listen?" He raises his voice a little.

I stop kind of shock by his action. Then I nod.

"I know that you've been stressed and I have too."

"About what?" I roll my eyes.

"You. You've been on my mind lately. Ever since you told me you needed to tell me something when we were kayaking I've been thinking. I was dumb enough to not know what you were talking about, so I talked to my parents and they told me. When they did I didn't really believe it. So ever since I found out I pushed you away. I was scared to love again after being done wrong. But after hearing you say it last night... and being with you last night. I cant spend the rest of my life without you. That's when I knew." Jalen says smiling.

"What are you talking about?" I ask.

"Makenna Bluitt, I am so inlove with you. I'm sorry I was too late to tell you. You don't know how crazy I am about you." He says simply.

I sit there in shock.

He loves me.

"Jalen..."

"I know... you love me back. Just say it." He says.

"Jalen I was gonna say I was pregnant... with another guy." I say jokingly.

Jalen's whole facial expression changed.

"You cheated on me?" He asks.

I start laughing and he sort of smiles.

"I'm just kidding.. It was just a joke." I say.

As soon, as I finish the sentence and kisses me. We pull away.

"I love you too." I smile as face are still inches from each other.

"I already knew... you told me last night." He said smiling.

"Dang it. I knew it was the alcohol." I say hitting him on the chest.

He laughs and leans back on his arms.

"You were dancing on a countertop last night." He says.

"Ugh.. that's so bad. Good thing.. stopped me before anything and happened." I sigh.

"Olivia, set me up." I gasp while hitting Jalen.

"Ow! Stop hitting me." He says rubbing where I hit him.

"She wanted me to go to the party because she knew I would get drunk."

"That bitch." I say hitting Jalen for the third time.

Jalen sighs.

"You hit me one more time... imma go Chris Breezy on yo ass." He says.

"You can't because you love me." I tease him by tapping his nose.

He laughs and shrugs.

"Sounds about right." He laughs.

I smile and he pulls my back to his body.
