(Song for this story: You Are The Reason - Calum Scott)

Mason Gleeful stood beside his sister, a sour look on his face as his Great Uncle drew the summoning circle on the basement floor, "Uncle Ford, do we really have to do this? I don't see why we need a demon..." he grumbled. Stanford silenced them, "We need a servant to do all the chores, and if you think I'm using a real human to do experiments on, think again. And what did I tell you!? You speak when you're spoken to! Now be quiet, before I throw this book at your head, boy!" he snarled,
Mason stayed quiet.
"Did we really have to kill that human? Can't the demon make his own body?" Mabel piped up.
Ford grumbled, "Quiet!"
Insolent children!
The cape wearing man opened the book in his hands, eyes washing over the yellowed pages as he flicked through them. The twins watched in amazement as he sounded out the spell; the candles flickering and the circle glowing blue.
Will was reading a rather good book as he floated in the empty space his brother had nicknamed The Nightmare Realm. The place was empty of life and rocks big and small floated from the broken planets. Stars that had been sucked into this desolate place glittered brightly. The small blue triangle looked up as he felt a small tug at his bow tie.
He was being summoned! How exciting! It had been awhile.
Will materialized in front of them and Ford grinned as Mabel squealed softly "Oh he's so little, look at him!" she cooed, her brother rolling his eyes as Will blinked, "Is that it?" Mason sneered. Will ignored him, "Hello, my name is William Cipher. Do you wish to form a contract?" he asked politely, his single eye sweeping over his surroundings. Boxes of junk, old furniture, paintings and art pieces covered in dusty white cloth covered the interiors floor. A dead body lay nearby.
Oof, that didn't look good.
"Look at his little bow tie and top hat! I just want to squish him!" Mabel continued, adoring the small being.
Stanford uttered some words from the book and Will yelped as he was suddenly pulled towards the body, forced inside its fleshy, cold interior. He opened his eyes moments later a little confused as to what was happening, but all those thoughts came to a halt as he realized he couldn't breathe. He let out a shaky gasp and tried desperately to suck air into the vessel's lungs, coughing as his eyes watered with the effort.
"I think I got it now" he said, his voice strained with the effort, he had never had to use vocal chords like these before. Mason's eyes widened as he watched the hair on Will's new form turn blue, growing just a bit longer than the previous owner had had his. Stanford lunged at Will, dragging him back to the circle and binding him in blue chains, glowing as they locked into place around his neck and wrists. Will trembled just a little,
What was going on here?
"Why did you bind me to this vessel? Do you not wish to make a deal?" he asked.
Ford just snorted "No, I will not be making a deal with you, but you will be staying with us for a long time, I suggest you get used to it"
Will frowned "But! But that's not how this goes!" he cried, but he knew all his arguing was futile. Mason pointed to him "You belong to us now, it's pretty simple" he said. Will stood up, shaky as he tried to get accustomed to using legs once more "Not likely!" he growled. He tried to leave, struggling to keep balance on his legs as he made for the door. Ford waved a hand and Will fell to the ground, the palms of his hands stinging as the skin broke.
"Hey!" he grumbled, trying to stand up again, but an invisible force was holding him in place. He strained against the chains. "Let me go!" he cried. Ford smirked "Well, this turned out better than I expected, no William, I will not be letting you go. Not until I'm done with you, and we are a long way off from that." he spoke.
"Can we control the chains, Great Uncle Ford?" Mason asked,
"Yes, Mason."
Will growled at them "You can't do this..." he started to say, trailing off as Ford glared at him.
"I can and I will, you will learn very quickly not to question me. So do as you're asked and stay quiet. Make a fuss, and there will be dire consequences, is that clear?" Ford asked, looking down at him with piercing blue eyes. His brown hair had a few grays in it, but he was still very young looking for someone who had.
"...Okay" Will muttered.
Ford's cape flared at his ankles as he sauntered off "I expect you two to watch him when I'm not around, see that he doesn't escape" he called to the twins. Mason turned to his sister, who was picking at her nails "So now what do we do?" he asked. Mabel rolled her eyes "I'm going to my room," she said, leaving the chilly basement. Will still slightly terrified, look up at him. Mason sighed and leaned down, grabbing his arm and hauling him up, "I'll show you your room" he said. Will stumbled, gripping Mason's arm as he almost fell over.
"Can you not walk?" Mason questioned, amusement in his words.
Will shook his head "Haven't needed to before," he replied.
Mason let him go, "Watch me then, you useless demon," he said, showing Will how it was done and making sure he did it right as Will tried to mirror his actions. Mason nodded "You're a fast learner. I also expect you to address me as Master, Mabel as Mistress and Stanford as your Master, is that understood?"
"Of course...Master Mason" Will replied with gritted teeth.
Mason smirked "Better, follow me."
Will followed him, trying not to trip over as the glowing blue chains trailed off into nothing beside him. Mason led him up the stone steps and into the Manor, pushing open a door to a small room on the top floor. There was a bed in one corner with a bedside table beside it, and that was it, the room was otherwise empty.
"This is your room"
Will went in, sitting down on the bed as he looked around. Mason pulled out a piece of paper from his pocket and held it out to him, "I expect you to get up at 6 am every day, make breakfast, clean the house" he said. Will took the timetable handed to him and frowned "Make Breakfast?"
Mason nodded "For us, you know? With whatever's in the pantry."
Will's blue eyebrows furrow "Do you have any books on how to cook?" he asked.
Mason shrugged "If there is, they'll be in the kitchen, why?"
"I don't require food to live, therefore I don't know how to cook, the books will help,"
Mason cocked his head to the side "Well, I'm sure you know how to follow instructions, Stanford will expect you to make dinner for us tonight"
"Oh?"
"As long as you do what he asks, he has no reason to hurt you" Mason said, knowing full well that wasn't true, his Great Uncle liked to hurt people, just for the hell of it, he was sadistic in many ways. Will looked up from the timetable "Will this body you picked for me require sleep?" he asked. Mason nodded, "Of course"
Will sighed, looking annoyed.
"That is what the beds for," Mason said.
Will smirked "Actually it's used for two things," he said. Mason rolled his eyes and scowled "Yes, but I doubt very much one of those is EVER going to happen," he declared. Will looked back at the paper, slitted pupils darting back and forth. "Well, I better get started. How old is this body?"
Mason frowned "Ummm, er, 20ish, I think? Ask Mabel, she's the one that knew who that was before she killed him," the nineteen-year-old replied. Will groaned "Great, so only 60 or 70 years more of this slavery," he grumbled, looking pissed as he stood up and went back down the stairs to the kitchen below.
