Will grabbed one of the recipe books, flickering through it to find something he was sure would be nice, simple and hopefully once made, edible. He settled on his choice and began gathering, preparing, and cooking the ingredients. He learned that the large humming machine in the middle of the kitchen kept things cold, and the many cupboards held more dried and canned goods, and tools he could use to make everything. The whole experience was rather relaxing, and he enjoyed himself.
The delicious smells summoned the Gleeful family as they wafting around the house, and they all made their way to the dining room to wait. Mason sighed "It smells pretty good"
Mabel nodded. "Yeah, I honestly thought he'd fuck it up."
"Smells can deceive" Ford said, in his usual emotionless voice, he didn't fiddle with his cutlery as the twins were doing, just sat at the head of the table, quiet and calm.
"Do we really need Will? It just...It just seems a bit pointless. Also, you knew the guy who belonged to that body before, isn't that a liiittllee bit creepy, Mabel?" Mason asked his sibling. Mabel scoffed "No, he was an asshole, he got what was coming to him," she remarked.
Finally, with stomachs rumbling, Will was done and the demon floated it over. "Sorry to keep you all waiting, I just wanted it done right" he said, setting it all down. He gave them a bow and stood in the corner, a small part of him knew he wouldn't be welcome to sit with them. Ford nodded. "Glad to see Mason has taught you some manners."
"Oh, no, that was just me being polite, Master" Will said with a smile, there was enough sass in those words to make Ford mentally growl. The man narrowed his eyes. "I strongly suggest you shut up now."
Will closed his mouth.
Halfway through the meal, Mason was done, he had been ravenous and had shoveled it down as best he could without looking like a pig. He was now eager to leave and return to his studies in his room "Can I please be excused, Great Uncle Ford?" Mason asked. Ford shook his head "You wait till I have finished, you know the rules, boy"
Mason pointed to Will "Doesn't he need to eat too?"
Will's stomach growled making everyone look up, the demon winced "Sorry" he mumbled, a little confused at the noise himself.
Ford pointed to the empty seat beside him. "Will, sit."
Will did so, looking a little uncomfortable so close to him "I don't think this-"
"Sit and do as your told" Ford interrupted, Mason pushed a plate of food over to him and Will wrinkled his nose "Do I have to?"
Ford cocked his head to the side. "Do you want to starve to death?"
Will shook his head "No, sir"
"Then eat" Ford commented, pushing a clean knife and fork over to him.
"How?" the demon asked.
Mason narrowed his eyes. "How did you eat before?" Mabel asked, Will fumbled with the fork "Not like you" he said,
Mabel rolled her eyes "Weirdo" she muttered.
Mason picked up a bread roll "Copy me" he said.
Will grimaced as Mason ate "Ewww" that looked disgusting, why did people have to eat so strangely?
"Problem, Will?" Ford questioned. Will shook his head "No, sir" he said, picking up the fork and taking a bite of his own food. He chewed it slowly, trying not to taste it, but he found it was surprisingly good "It's actually good!" he said, once he had swallowed his mouth full. His stomach seemed happy and the hunger pains had disappeared. Mason breathed a sigh of relief, he really thought Ford would get annoyed at Will's behavior.
Ford stood up moments later, his plate empty. "I'm done, William? I expect you to wash up" he ordered, leaving the room to his Lab, where he spent quite a lot of time. Mason leaned back in his chair "Phew" he mumbled.
"Is something wrong, Master Mason?"
"If you ask Ford dumb questions, he can get furious quickly. I guess he's making an exception since you're new around here."
Will looked back down at his half finished meal "Oh, my apologies"
"It's fine, if you're finished go wash up." Mason said, waving a hand at him.
Will gave him a confused look,
"Wash up, like clean the dishes, make them go from dirty to clean?" Mason explained, it was like talking to a damn child. Will shook his head "I'm afraid I do not understand what you're talking about. Perhaps you could show me?" he asked, looking nervous. Mason stood up "Sure, fine, whatever" he grumbled, Mabel snickered.
Mason led him back to the kitchen and showed him how it was done, and wouldn't leave till he was satisfied that Will could do it on his own. "Well, goodnight, I'm going to bed" Mason said,
"Sweet nightmares, Master Mason" Will called to him as the nineteen-year-old left the kitchen. Mason felt a little weirded out by those words but he stayed quiet.
After he had cleaned up Will made some tea, the only thing he could remember doing back with his brother, his twin also liked tea. The semi-hot liquid was relaxing, and he sipped it gratefully, his eyes already heavy from tiredness.

Will had fallen asleep in the kitchen, face pressed against a cupboard door. Ford found him there early that morning.
"William! WILLIAM! Wake up, you lazy demon!" Ford growled. Will peeled his eyes open "Hmmm? I'm sorry, Master, I've never needed sleep before, it's very confusing" he mumbled tiredly. Ford grabbed his arm and hauled him up "Are we going to have a problem?" he asked. Will blinked at him sleepily, one eye at a time, "No sir, I was just saying that it's difficult for me"
Ford grumbled "It shouldn't be, we sleep in beds, not on the floor like animals" he snapped, lifting Will up in the air by the glowing collar around his neck, Will choked, his face red as he struggled to breathe, he wriggled in the man's grasp as he fought to clear his airways. Ford grinned nastily and dropped him onto the floor. He hit the ground hard and Ford kicked him in the stomach for good measure. The demon curled up and groaned, pain wasn't a nice experience.
"Get started on breakfast, I haven't got all morning for you to dilly dally" Ford spat, disappearing with a swish of his cape.
