Will had been upset for the past few weeks as his mind started wandering more and more with his growing bordem. He had been mostly thinking about home, sure Flatland hadn't been much, but it had been his, and now he was regretting destroying everything. Maybe he could have saved them, maybe he couldn't. He sighed as he trailed down the hall looking for things to clean. But as always everything was in tip-top condition because of him.
The lab door was open as he passed it, casting a thin glow onto the dark blue carpet. Will peered in to find it empty of his Master.
A sparkle caught his eye as he made to leave and he peered back in, looking and left and right for the all clear before entering the forbidden room. The sparkle turned out to be a snow globe, nestled in the clutter of one of the shelves. But what made his eyes widen was the inter-dimensional tear showing off The Nightmare Realm in all its glory inside.
"Wow" he exclaimed, picking it up in amazement to view it better.
"Will? What are you doing in here?" Mason asked, coming into see what on earth he could be up too.
Will held up the globe "Just saw this, neat right?"
"What is it?"
"An inter-dimensional tear in the space between worlds" he said sadly.
Mason put a hand on his face "Will? What's the matter with you? You've seemed distant lately" he asked.
Will's bottom lip trembled, he didn't want to be a crybaby; he was trying so hard to hold it together and stay tough. Mason pulled him into hug "Hey it's okay, you can tell me."
"What if we could have saved them?" Will whispered.
Mason pulled back "Who? The Flatlanders?"
Will nodded.
"I don't know" Mason replied, hugging him again.
The snow globe slipped from Will's fingers, and he gasped in shock and stepped back as the entire thing shattered upon impact.
"Shit!"
Stanford would not be happy.
Mason was just about to hurry and grab the dustpan when Will sank to the floor, screaming in pain and clutching his head as thin spiderweb cracks started appearing on his purple skin. Raw uncontrollable magic was filtering in from The Nightmare Realm and into Will's body.
There was a shudder and a beam of light shot up from the ruined globe and into the sky, taking with it the Manor's roof and most of the top floor. "WILL!" Mason screamed, reaching for his boyfriend. The dustpan forgotten as rubble rained down upon them.
He kneeled down to help him any way he could, but Will's screams suddenly cut short. For a few seconds it was silent and peaceful and Mason blinked, confusion on his face as Will opened his glowing eyes. "Will?" Mason asked, brushing his fingers across his cheek. The demon disappeared from the floor quicker than Mason could process.
And the madness began...

Mason ran down the hall and out into the gardens, where Ford, Fiddleford, Mabel and Bill were staring up at the chaos unfolding. Taco meowed pitifully in Mabel's arms, he was scared and confused.
"The rift must have slipped and shattered! That's not Will! We need to get out of here!!" Ford cried.
Will, who was currently floating above the Manor's ruins, grinned down at them nastily with sharp pointy teeth.
"YoU'rE nOt GoInG aNyWhErE" he snarled, using magic to lift them up like a spaceship's tractor beam. Ford struggled in the golden glow, trying to use what little magic he had to fight back, but it was rather useless, Will had grown much more powerful in the past few seconds.
