By the time they were at the door Mason had begged Will to tell him how on earth he would get them all to another dimension and Will finally gave in "I can make my own portals" the demon said, opening the front door.
Mason grinned "Really!?"
Will nodded.
Ford was waiting outside his office as they appeared. "Sir, everything you requested," Will said, handing over the bags.
"Right...Thank you, Mason? You are dismissed. I just want to ask Will some questions."
Will watched Mason leave and turned back "Is s-something wrong, s-sir?" he asked, sounding a little frightened, Ford had been nicer lately, maybe that was ending?
"No, no, relax. You were just talking a little loud as you came down the corridor. You can make portals that easily?" Ford asked, looking a little excited.
"Yes sir, it's a unique power, I try to keep it hidden because well it's a very sort after gift, not even my brother knew about it, do you need to go somewhere?"
"Not exactly...But there is a pet project of mine, I've spent years trying to get results, but to no avail" Ford said,
Will grinned "oooo, can I see it?"
"Sure." Ford said, checking the bags that had been handed to him to make sure Will had gotten everything.
"Um, sir?" Will asked,
"Yes, William?"
"After dinner, would you all like to accompany me to Dimension 46'\? I'd like to collect my brother."
"Sounds like a plan. Come with me." Ford said, depositing the bags in his study before they made their way to his lab.

He hadn't been to this side of the lab before, the shelf at the back was covered in partially finished inventions, broken things and dangerous items. Ford pulled out a long black case from it with the words 'Aperture Science' printed on the side, and opened it up. A strange sniper type gun was strapped inside carefully, "A friend gave me this in the multiverse, sadly it doesn't work anymore, and I don't want to use a single drop of magic on it, because I don't want to risk jamming it up."
Will looked down at it. "What's it do?"
"It's a portal gun, you shoot at a wall, the wall you want to go to, then you shoot at a wall next to you, creating a wormhole, so to speak, creating an active portal"
Will's eyes widened. He hadn't realized someone besides Rick Sanchez had made a portal gun. Well, this one was a lot bigger than Rick's handy pocket sized one.
"You can also use it to go to different dimensions, so it's a back-up plan really, if I could get it to work. Which is where you come in, I could create my own portals! It just needs a kick start. I also have two other portal devices, but one's traceable, and the other is fragile and easily broken."
"I can fix it!" Will exclaimed.
Ford stood back and gestured to it "Go ahead."
Will grinned and removed it from the case, taking it apart bit by bit as he tinkered with the device. He put it back together quickly and held it up, "There, good as new, now it just needs a power source" he said, holding up his free hand, his palm up. A small ball of bright glowing energy rose from his palm and the demon placed it inside a small compartment on the side. "This little ball has about twenty more uses out of it, sorry I can't give you anymore."
Ford sighed. "That should do for now I guess, what's the energy source?"
Will showed a hologram of Rick's portal gun, zooming in to the green thing on top "You may want to consider one of these. See the green thing in the tube, that's a very important piece to a portal maker, it lasts forever, Unfortunately it's hard to get, and there's a stupid Rick law that won't let anyone other than a Rick weld one"
