They stayed there, leaned up against the wall as the storm raged on outside, casting flashes of light into the darkened room,

"Mason?"

"Yeah?"

"I like thunderstorms, they're so beautiful."

Mason smiled and took his hand, threading his fingers through his as Will put out his other hand. "Come here." he said.

Mason obeyed, leaning into his chest as gently as he could and gazing up at him. Will kissed him again, soft and sweet, as he settled in his lap. Mason was trying to be gentle, Will was still wounded badly, despite the healing he had done to himself earlier. The demon grabbed his hand and brought it close to his chest. Mason could feel the steady thump of Will's heartbeat underneath his fingers and smiled,

"I have a heartbeat now"

Mason raised an eyebrow "Didn't you have one before?"

"No, I was made of pure energy, I had no need for one."

Mason relaxed into him, leaning up against his chest as Will wrapped his arms around him and pulled him in closer. The demon leaned his head on top of his and sighed "Are we ever going to do that human thing?"

Mason's cheeks went red "Maybe some other time, I think you're a bit to hurt for that right now...Unless I'm wrong?"

"Oh n-no, not n-now!" Will said nervously, blushing.

Mason chuckled softly. "It's fine, Will, you just wondered. But it seems the better option to wait. We should get to bed...But I don't really know how to carry you there" he said, getting to his feet. Will shook his head "It's fine, I can walk now, thank you" he replied, standing up and leaning his hand against the wall as he steadied himself.

Mason took his hand, and they left the music room. "My kind, we did it differently to humans, you may have to teach me"

Mason mumbled something under his breath as they walked up the stairs to Will's room.

"I love beds, don't you?" Will asked, sitting down on the neatly made covers. Mason chuckled "Yeah, they're pretty great, get some sleep, I'll see you in the morning" Mason said, leaving to his own bedroom. Will snuggled carefully under the covers. "Night."

"Night, Will."

Will woke up screaming as a loud shrill ring echoed in his ears. He fell out of bed and hit the floor with a thud, gazing up at his bedside table to see an alarm clock had been placed there overnight. He heard a chuckle and looked at the closed door, recognizing that amused tone. "Thank you, Master, I appreciate the alarm clock" he said, meaning every word as he rubbed his elbow.

"I should have recorded that" the man snorted, leaving the hallway and returning to his office.

Will picked himself up and fumbled with the clock, resetting it for tomorrow as he set it back down on the dresser.

He got dressed in a snap and went to go wake Mason.

The nineteen-year-old was passed out on his bed, Mabel curled up at the end.

He shook him gently "Mason? Mason wake up."

"...Huh? What?"

"Morning!"

Mason frowned and groaned. "Do we have too?"

Will stuck out his tongue as he tried to lay his blue hair flat "Yup!"

Mason sighed "Fine" he grumbled, getting out of bed to get dressed. He kissed Will good morning before he headed to the bathroom. Mabel stirred slightly but did not wake.

"Pancakes?" Will called, as he began to tidy up Mason's messy bedroom,

"Sounds good!"

Once dressed Mason followed Will to the kitchen, the demon's eye darting around in fear as they walked down the hallway. Mason took his hand and squeezed it softly "Hey, it's okay"

Will relaxed a bit. "Thanks."

"No problem."

Will froze as they entered the kitchen, Stanford was making coffee nearby in his favorite cup, the blue one with the white stripes. The man ran a hand through his messy brown hair as he turned around to return the jug to its place. It was hard to tell what he was thinking with that look on his face,

"Ah, Will, I was wondering when you'd show up, now with that alarm clock"

"Y-Yes, sir?"

"I hope you use it. If not, there will be dire consequences, understand?"

"Yes, sir" Will replied, Ford gave him a nod and went to go wait for breakfast in the dining room, the morning newspaper already on the table waiting for him. Will took a deep breath and exhaled slowly, his pounding heart beat calming down. "He can't keep trampling you like that. We're going to have to do something." Mason insisted.

"It's fine, Mason, leave it, please?" he asked, opening a cupboard door and pulling out the frying pan. Mason sighed, but nodded as he opened the fridge "Fine" he said, setting down the milk he had taken next to the pan.

"Thank you."

Breakfast was tense, Ford could feel it, and Will fidgeting in the corner proved his point. He ate quickly, "Just to let you know, Will, the Pain Serum has been sent off to the government, they're giving us a few million in return" he said, standing up. Will nodded, and the man left the dining room.

"It's still no excuse" Mason muttered, taking an angry bite of his pancakes. It was strange, the food Will made had definitely gotten better, he just couldn't quite figure out what had changed.

"Will, you need to eat too, sit down," Mabel said, pushing some pancakes over to him.

Will sat down but didn't eat "I'm not hungry."

"You are and you will" Mason ordered, "Eat please, for me?"

Will picked one up of the stack and took a bite, staring off into the distance, his mind elsewhere.

Mason frowned, worried for him.

He was almost done with his chores (sweeping the floors) when he heard a faint crying coming from one of the living rooms nearby. Going to investigate, he found Mabel curled up on the sofa, tears running down her face. "Mistress Mabel? Are you okay?" he asked.

Mabel jumped and looked up, hurriedly wiping the tears away "Y-Yes, I'm fine, really..." she insisted. Will set the broom down he was using and came over. Sitting down nearby, he summoned a blue rose with no thorns and smiled, handing it to her "Here."

"Why are you being so nice to me?" she asked, taking the beautiful flower carefully.

Will sighed and gestured to himself, namely his vessel "Because I know what he did. He shouldn't of done that to you, Mabel, that was very wrong, and I'm sorry you had to go through that."

Mabel sniffed the rose and smiled sadly. "I know, thanks, Will" the girl replied, standing up "I'm going back to my room, okay?"

"If you need anything, just ask, I'm just a hug away from a smile" Will called after her.
