Will stood up, wincing in pain as his body protested the movement. Unbeknownst to him a bruise was already appearing on his skin from Ford's kick. He got started on breakfast just as Mason came in to see if he needed any help "Will?"
Will winced as he turned, "Yes, Master Mason?"
Mason must have noticed his pained look and came closer "Are you okay? Ford didn't hurt you, did he?"
Will smiled softly "I was told off for sleeping on the floor, it's not a big deal, Master obviously has standards," he assured him. Mason raised an eyebrow "He hurt you because you slept on the floor?"
Will nodded, surprised when Mason huffed angrily, "Master Mason, it's fine" he insisted. Mason shook his head "No, it's not fine, it's fine when he treats me and Mabel like that but, not to you!" Mason cried, he didn't know why he was getting so mad about it, but it just made him so livid that Ford would punish Will for something so small and insignificant, he was still learning!
Will gave him an amused look "You barely know me Master Mason, and I barely know you, lets not get too attached too quickly, hmmm?"
Mason paused his anger and looked at him "Attached?" he asked blankly, "What?! Will, no I'm not- I wouldn't- Ew! Will I just think it's a little harsh in the first week of you ever having a human body...you're still learning," he said "That's it,"
Will used magic to turn the stove on "Master was just making sure I learnt not to sleep on the floor again" he said quietly. Mason sighed "Very well then" he replied.
Will lifted his shirt to see the damage done, the large bruise looking very painful. "That's normal, right?" he asked. Mason examined it "He must have hit you quite hard...That's called a bruise, it means the inside is damaged slightly, but not hard enough to of pierce the skin," Mason explained "Try not to touch it, there's a med kit in the basement."
Will pulled his shirt back down "I wouldn't have a clue what do to I'm afraid, breakfast will be ready in ten minutes," he said, turning back to the stove which Mason was shocked to find was already cooking food items, magic was so weird. Mason smiled "I'll wait" he said, trailing into the adjoining dining room. Will setting the surrounding table as breakfast cooked "Will?"
"Yes, Master Mason?"
"Mabel hated the last guy in that body. He was a real creep, just y-know...Watch out."
Will nodded "Oh, I know, I have his memories" he said,
Mason gazed at him "Really?"
"Yes."
"Ford would find that very interesting" Mason exclaimed,
"Find what interesting?" Ford asked, appearing in the doorway at his name. Will set the food down "That I have this body's memories" he answered.
"Interesting...So when you die...Your memories are left behind, but, then again, we are all just a bunch of memories, so..." Ford began to mutter incoherently, pulling out a book from his pocket and scribbling away inside. Will smiled "Tea? Master?"
Ford glared at him for interrupting "Yes"
Mason smiled at the pancakes happily "Pancakes?"
Will nodded "Yes, I know you like them"
"Stop reading my mind!" Mason cried, rubbing his eyes as Will chuckled, earning a look from Ford "Silence, the both of you" he growled.
As they ate, Will gazed at himself in the reflective silver tray he had used to carry the tea items to the table with. Ford glanced at him "What are you doing?"
Will looked up "Oh, I was just seeing what I look like now, sir, it's strange
Ford rolled his eyes "Maybe you should carry around a pocket mirror while others are eating breakfast, that way you can look at yourself all you want," he said, his words dripping with sarcasm. Will set the tray down, "My apologizes for being rude," he mumbled.
"Better, and by the way, the Winter Gala is coming up. I expect this house spotless."
Will bowed "Of course, sir"
"If I find even one spec of dust there will be hell to pay, there will be a lot of people attending the event"
Will mentally gulped "Y-Yes sir"
"I do have standards, William" Ford said, finishing up his breakfast and leaving the room,
Will relaxed "Oh, I know sir" he muttered. Mason pushed his plate away with an angry sigh "Great! Just great!" he cried angrily. Mabel glanced at him and then continued to eat.
"Now what is it?" Will snapped, Mason glared at him "It's the Winter Gala, I hate it so much! I have standards!" he mocked in a high pitched voice, mimicking Fords tone. Will snorted with laughter.
"It's basically just a party, where Ford invites round all his rich science friends, and have a laugh over really cruel stuff, and then have a ballroom dance, like the rich twats they are," Mason grumped.
"I can dance," Will said. Mason huffed "Well I can't, and this year he just expects me to!"
Will put a finger to his lips, biting the nail as he thought "I could teach you, if you want?" he said, smiling.
Mason leaned on the table. "Thanks."
"I'm guessing the fact that Master has a demon will be very interesting to his friends? I should probably avoid them, no?"
"The only person you need to watch out for his Fiddleford McGucket, he wears wire spectacles, is a beanpole, and is constantly glued to Ford's side, he's a surgeon/scientist," Mason said, twirling his fork in his hand. Will nodded "Noted, although I'm sure all Ford would do is show me off, excuse me, I mean Master" Will left the room hurriedly to get started on cleaning. Mason glanced up at his sister, who was eyeballing him "What?"
Mabel smirked. "Nothing."
"No, tell me, what is it?"
Mabel stood up "You, becoming besties with the demon, it's amusing," she said.
