【An act of kindness?】 Demon Slayer Fanfiction

The pretending demon

*Review*

The mist pillar, Muichiro Tokito, has taken along with him the no-named demon who seem to have no intentions in hurting, or killing humans. Though he knows it violates the rules of the demon slayer corps.

They are currently wandering the streets of a city in the east, in search for a demon that is hiding amongst the humans and is the cause of the constant disappearances in the area.

The demon got seperated from the mist pillar and finally found the man who killed her family- but, got assaulted by the police because of her bloody appearance. She was saved by a woman in her twenties named Doremi, a woman with a very kind aura.

" My, my, young lady.. your clothes are dirtied and stained! Let's change it, shall we? "

After the demon girl got saved by the gentle Doremi, she noticed how horrible her appearance is and took her to her home. The demon didn't resist her, for the lady reminded her of her late mother, who is also caring.

The woman's house was located in a secluded area, and, there are a bunch of trees surrounding the house. Inside of the house was warm, there was this strange light the demon girl has seen for the very first time- the light came from a bulb like object. The demon girl was fascinated by the fancy and brilliant design of the house, she couldn't make a move.

" Ahaha! Do you like it? Well, please make yourself at home!"

Doremi placed down her bags, and walked to the mesmerized demon. She snapped out of it when the woman approached her and held her hands. It was warm, it's been a while since she felt the warmth of a person's hand. This reminded her of her deceased family, and, she just started crying in front of the lady.

Doremi took her to the bathroom, which was located at the second floor of her house, at the third door in the hallway. She undressed the girl and noticed how there's no wounds on her body, yet she reeked of blood like crazy. Doremi told her to enter the bathtub, the demon felt like she was in heaven because of the warm water. After getting bathed, the lady took the girl into a room with decorations displayed all over. There she dressed the girl with a new yukata. The yukata was colored pink, it had a complex patterning in it, and the demon liked it.

Doremi left her alone for a while, and exited the room to cook her dinner. The demon girl had time to explore the wondrous house. She exited the room, and looked around for a bit. She stared at all of the paintings, that didn't make any sense to her at all. The demon got bored of wandering around, and went back into the room. There she opened every cabinet, getting fascinated by its push and pull system. Until she came across a heavy drawer that was hard to pull out, when she used her strength, it revealed the contents of the drawer-

Tiny, little, severed limbs of human children. Some of the limbs appeared newly cut, and the blood was still dripping from the cut. The demon froze, she tried to control herself, and shut the drawer close. She backed away, and knocked down a painting hanging across the bed. It revealed a group of little girls caged, they were all missing some body parts.

" Sssh, she'll hear us.. I.. don't want to get eaten.. "

A little girl said in a faint whisper, her voice was shaking, she was trembling all over. She raised her hand, her thumb, pointer, and pinky finger was missing. She was also badly hurt, and appears that she's been hiding from a woman- Doremi, that is. She was the only child there alive, well, mentally okay. The others were mentally unstable, they didn't know what's real and what isn't. But they were all scared, scared to get eaten.

The demon girl couldn't believe it, she is seeing something cruel, something she never thought she'd see. The woman started to call for her name, announcing that dinner is ready. The demon girl placed the painting back, and calmly walked downstairs. She was greeted with a neatly prepared table, and the dishes are all ready.

Though she's trembling with rage, the demon girl calmly sat down and joined Doremi. She took a slice of the roasted steak that was placed right next to her, in one sniff, she knew it wasn't a normal steak. She watched Doremi eat the stake, and she felt hungry as well, but it also made her stomach hurt. She took a spoonful of the tomato soup that served as a side dish, it wasn't tomato, it was blended human meat in blood. The demon girl knew, she knows the smell of humans after all.

" Why aren't you eating? "

Doremi noticed the girl's strange behaviour, and how she wasn't eating, just staring at the food, looking disturbed.
Doremi smiled, and the lights started to flicker. The demon girl was preparing herself, and when the lights turned completely off-

The demon pushed off the dining table, the breaking of the glasses and the porcelain bowls and plates echoed through the darkened house. And, when the lights started flickering on and off in a continuous cycle, the demon girl looked for the woman.

She scanned every corner, every side, but the flickering lights were getting in the way. The demon girl was hit in the back, by a hammer. She continued to get beaten by the hammer, and complete lost sense of direction. The girl was getting bloody again, but she didn't want to lose.

The demon girl concentrated, she closed her eyes, and felt the movements of Doremi. To her left, she sensed where she was located. The demon girl evaded Doremi's next attack and scratched her face with her sharp nails. That's when Doremi revealed her true form- an explosion started, which made the demon girl back away. She had the appearance of a chameleon wearing a mask in her face, a demon with a blood demon art that allows her to change her appearance. She had many eyes surrounding her whole body.

*A few minutes before the explosion
10 PM
In the streets of an urban city*

In the distance, a young man was carelessly wandering without noticing his companion was missing. He only noticed it when he decided to turn around. He insulted himself for not noticing, and searched for her around the city.

A few minutes later Muchiro still hasn't found the demon girl, he knew this was his chance to leave her, but strangely, he didn't want to and kept looking for the demon.

That was when he heard an explosion coming from just in front of him, it made him back away and he got covered by the wood scattering. The explosion came from a house surrounded by trees. At first glance, Muichiro already knew something was up.

He quickly rushed to the wrecked house, and saw two demons he's been looking for, in the same place, fighting. The demon girl he was looking for is fighting the demon that is kidnapping humans as a human.

A demon, is fighting a demon, right in front of a demon slayer.
