Chase, Kyla and i walked home, but i couldn't help but think of the boy. Why did he look at me funny? It's not like i did anything to him.
"Ruel's nice isn't he" Chase said as we got closer to home
"uh sure" i replied
"you don't think he is?" chase asked again
"not really, he acted like a jerk" i said again
"oh, well he's nice once you get to know him" Chase said assuringly
"coco is really sweet" i said to him
"yeah, she's super nice and pretty" Kyla added
"race ya there!" Kyla yelled as she ran towards the house
"your going down!" chase yelled to me as he started running
"nuh uh!" i screamed as i jumped onto his back and held on until we reached home
"i think you guys tied" Kyla said laughing as we entered the house
"hey guys, how was the park?" dad said as we searched the kitchen
"it was so good, i did this awesome trick with Chase!" Kyla exclaimed
"wow guys, sound like fun!" mum added
"we are inviting some of the neighbours for a housewarming party tonight" dad said as i took a bite of my apple
"okay cool, what time are they coming?" i asked
"at 6:30, so in a couple of hours" mum said
"sounds good, imma tidy my room up" i said as i walked up the stairs to my room
"Chase people are coming over soon" i said as i knocked on Chase's door
"Yeah okay" Chase said as he continued to scroll through his phone
I walked back into my room and packed away all the empty boxes, my room was plain, but it was just how I liked it.
I looked through my closet to find something decent to wear, i ended up picking a dress i got for christmas.
I was excited for this party, i was hoping that there would be a few kids my age at the party. Chase said he saw some teenagers around, so that's good.
I was just finishing up Kyla's braids when the doorbell rung,
"I'll get it" my mum said as she as she rushed to the door, Chase walking down the stairs, and sitting on the couch next to me and Kyla
"Hi! Come in, come in!" my mum said as she led the family into the house
A girl about my age walked with the family,
"y/n this is Alannah, she is your age" my mum said as the girl came and sat next to me on the couch
"Hey" i said to her as i gave her hug
"Hi, its nice to have another girl in the street." she replied
"I'm Chase, y/n's brother" he said as he shook alannah's hand
"Nice to meet you" alannah replied
More and more people arrived, mainly older people, but also a few little kids, around Kyla's age
"Aye bro!" Chase said as he got up from the couch and bro hugged with a boy, the same boy from the park, Ruel
"Hi y/n, this is my sister Sylvie" Coco said as she walked in after Ruel
"it's lovely to meet you" i said as i hugged Sylvie and the rest of the family
"hey guys, wanna come up stairs with us?" Chase asked as he got up with ruel to go upstairs
"yeah sure" i said as we all got up and walked upstairs into the games room upstairs.
"y/n, connect the speaker" Chase said as he sat on the upstairs couch
"you wanna put anything guys?" i asked
"yes yes, pass!" alannah said as i gave her my phone
"this one is a bop" she said as the song started playing
"your my painkiller, when my brain gets bitter, you keep me close, you keep me clooose"
"who sings this?" i asked and looked around to Coco and Alannah laughing, while ruel looked mad.
"you wanna tell her ruel?" Coco said laughing still
"shut up coco" ruel replied
alannah handed me the phone, the screen said the song was by Ruel
"oh shit, she has the same name as you" i said as i looked up at ruel
"wait, thats you isnt it" i asked as ruel nodded, and coco and alannah started laughing again
"so your a singer" i said, he nodded again
"that's cool man" chase replied
what can't the kid do? he skates, he sings, he looks amazing all the time, even when he isn't trying, he's good at everything
"our dad works in the music producing business, with his brother" Chase said
"what's his brothers name?" ruel asked
"M-Phazes" me and chase replied in sync
