"How is this?" I asked her and she gave me a thumbs up and I chuckled.
"Will she like this?" I asked her. I was getting nervous. I was going to give her the gift which my mother had chosen to give her.
"She will definitely like this. I believe aunty has a much better choice than yours." She said and I chuckled.
"Indeed. I don't go shopping as I like to keep myself busy but I do want to admit. I do like to go shopping." I said and she squealed.
"I knew you too like to go there, just you weren't interested in going over there." She said and I shook my head with a smile.
"So should I go into her room and give her this?" I asked her and she nodded.
"Fine. I will go give her this later." I said and she nodded and at that time only the door of our room opened.
"So girls. What are you doing?" Bhoomi asked us and we just smiled at her.
"OH it's good that you had come over here only. I wanted to give you something." I said and picked up the box and looked at Bhoomi's confused face. I just smiled and went towards her and gently lifted it and put the box in her hand.
"What is this?" She asked.
"I think you will automatically come to know about this when you open this box." I said and she chuckled and nodded and opened the box. She was surprised when she saw the gift inside. It was a pair of Sapphire earrings and a Sapphire bracelet. Mother had liked this gift a lot and gave it to me so that I could give it to Bhoomi.

"Why do you have to give me this?" She asked me and I just smiled.
"Mamma told me to give you." I said and she smiled.
"I was also thinking how your choice has become so much good." Bhoomi said and I chuckled.
"So you do believe that Vidhi's choice is just average?" Sonia asked from my back.
"Yes I do. Her choice is not so good." Bhoomi said and I shook my head. I looked over the watch and it was 3 in the afternoon. I left both of them for their own gossip and I took my phone and went towards the balcony.
Breeze was slow and quite welcoming. I loved being over here. I looked down and found kids playing in the yard and they were in their own little world. Kids' worlds are so joyful as well as colorful. I chuckled and opened the contact app on my phone and scrolled to the alphabet M. I quickly clicked on the name which I was searching for. I held it near my ear and was listening to the ring which was going to connect to my mamma soon. The line was picked up.
"Mamma." I said excitedly. And she giggled.
"How is my little girl?" She asked me.
"Your little one is fine and has become a big girl too." I said and she again giggled.
"But the big girl remains the naughty little girl who used to run around the whole house." She said and I laughed.
"Mamma," I paused for a few minutes. " I miss you." I said and sighed.
"I know my baby is missing me. When I can't live without her then how can my baby live without me. I am also missing you, my baby." She said
"Is there something special that you are endearing me so much today?" I asked her. Though I know the answer, what is the use of that when you can just tease your mom for a few seconds.
"I didn't expect that you would forget this day that easily." She said and I was trying hard to control my laugh.
"Is it? I am forgetting something?"I asked her and was laughing inwardly.
"Vidhi, enough jokes. I don't like it, "she said.
"What happened mamma?" I asked her.
"Vidhi !!!" She shouted. I laughed out loud this time. I couldn't control my laugh more.
"Vidhi stop laughing like a hyena." She said,
"Okay okay. I am sorry for teasing you. Happy birthday." I said and she chuckled.
"I knew that you were joking around." She said,
"When are you arriving?" I asked her. I am very excited to meet my mother and be in her embrace for a long time. But I am kind of tense because of my grandparents living over here. I don't know what will happen today.
"I think it will be night when I will arrive. I think around 9 or 10." She said,
"This is too late. By then the function would be finished." I said.
"I can't do anything. But why are you hyper? I will reach you and will also see the wedding." She said and I smiled.
"Why not? I am waiting for you." I said.
"Aww... my baby is getting emotional." She said and I felt that my eyes were filling with tears and I quickly wiped them off.

"Love you too little girl." She said and I chuckled and hung up. I kept it down and was looking at the beautiful scenery in front of me.
"Vidhi we have to get ready as well come inside." I heard Sonia's voice and I looked at the bed which contained the dresses and jewelry and not to forget the cosmetics.
"Is everything ready already?" I asked. I am very nervous today. Though I had told Nikhil that I love him but we are still in the situation in which he is still getting married and I don't know where Ashish is as he isn't picking up my calls at all. I am really scared about him.
"Where have you lost?" Sonia asked and I shook my head.
"Bhoomi go and get dressed up." I said to her and she nodded and went away and I looked at Sonia who was excited to get ready. I sighed.
"You too go and get ready. I will get ready afterwards." I said and she nodded with a smile and quickly went into the restroom and I took my phone and tried to call Ashish but this time his phone was switched off. It is kind of weird for me. He never used to keep his phone shut.
After a few tries I too accept my defeat and leave my phone.

"Stop praising me and go and get yourself ready."She said and I nodded and I took a quick shower and wore the dress which was chosen by Sonia for me. It is quite nice. I came out and saw Sonia busy doing her makeup.
"How do I look?" I asked and she looked in my direction and smiled.
"I am sure you can kill guys today." She said and I just smiled.
"You are ready?" I asked her and she nodded.
"Just jewelry is to be put on." She said and I nodded. She picked up a small necklace set and decorated herself with it. She was now looking more beautiful
"Where is yours?" She asked.
"I will just wear earrings." I said and she nodded. I pick up the earrings and put them over my ears.
"Girls, are you ready?" I heard Bhoomi's voice as she entered our room. I saw that she really looked like a bride.
She was wearing a red frock suit and a golden dupatta and matching jewelry.
"OH you are ready. Let's go downstairs." She said and we nodded and we went downstairs but I don't know why but I was feeling as if something wrong was going to happen today and I was feeling worse about it.
