"Alright I'm all packed. Do you have everything babe?" I asked as I got into the Escalade.
"Yes I have everything, do you gorgeous?"  Ace asked.
"Yes, now I should warn you,my mom is always in my business. My dad isn't around often. My sister will be up your ass. I'm nervous,I just want this to go really well. I don't think the two SUVs following us is going to make it easier." I explained.
"I'm sure this will go great. Now as you know the security is necessary after what happened. We have the story, down of why they are with us. It's only a weekend I look forward to it." Ace replied with a calming smile.
After what felt like ever we arrived.
"Oh my goodness you look like you're almost dead sweetheart. Are you alright? Well who is this hunky darling?" My mom pestered after opening the door.
"I had an accident. I don't really know what happened these are all security to make sure nothing else happens. This is Ace, my fiance." I explained.
"Oh my gosh you're engaged? How come I'm just meeting him now? Your father is at the range. I'm not sure how much you'll see him this weekend. Your sister actually agreed to come. She's on her way." My mother explained.
"I just wanted to make sure things were real and serious. I hope to see dad." I said.
"It's a pleasure to meet you Mrs.Noble. I'm Ace McCoy. " Ace said while kissing her hand.
"Oh such a gentleman, it is nice to meet you too. That diamond ring is stunning you put on my daughter's finger. It must have cost a pretty penny. What do you do for work?" My mother pried.
"Thank you, it took a long time to pick the one that I thought would be perfect for Alice. I'm actually in finance. I'm an advisor." Ace replied.
"Where is my little sister?" Alisha yelled as she barged in.
"I'm right here, it's nice to see you. This is my fiance Ace. He works as a financial advisor. " I said.
"Oh my god look at the ring it's huge! Hi Ace I'm Alisha Alice's older sister. It's nice to meet you." Alisha said.
"It's a pleasure to meet you." Ace said.
We then all ate dinner it was rather quiet. My father finally came in, I introduced him to Ace and his response was the same as Alisha's. Right after dinner my father disappeared again.
"I think it's just wonderful that you're settling down Alice. I wish you would Alisha, it's so trashy jumping from man to man." My mother scolded.
"I'm just looking for Mr.Right still that's all." Alisha replied with a smirk.
Next Ace and I went to my old bedroom to get some sleep.
"You're family is very nice and normal. It was nice of Alisha to pretend she didn't know about our engagement. Thank you for covering my real job so well. I'm sure that wasn't easy. I will say your father didn't say much and didn't seem to stay too long." Ace said.
"Yes I'm wondering if something is going on with my parents. Thank you for being so polite, it means a lot. Let me show you how thankful I am." I said. I then started making out with Ace and started to strip him.
"It's no problem, now stop we are in your parent's house. I'm not doing anything with you here, that's just weird."
"Fine, I'm going to bed then." I snapped. Next I aggressively took the blankets and went to sleep.
The next morning I woke up and realized Ace was gone. I checked the bathroom and he wasn't there. I went to the kitchen and found him at the table drinking coffee and talking to my mom. They didn't realize I was there.
"So what about Alice made you know that she's the one?" My mother asked then sipping her coffee.
"She looks at me differently than anyone I've met. She knows everything about me and still finds good things. She's feisty and sweet. I feel like a better man when I'm with Alice. I find myself trying to be a good man for her. I know she's who I want to spend the rest of my life with." Ace explained.
"Wow, that's beautiful I'm so glad you feel that way. You seem to make her really happy. I look forward to your life together." My mother said.
"Yes, that was very sweet I hole I found someone who feels that way about me!" Alisha said sitting down.
I decided it was time to enter the room. I had no idea Ace felt that way. I wish he would've told me, but I love that those are his feelings!
"What's up everyone?" I asked entering the room and pouring a cup of coffee.
"Oh nothing just having coffee. How did you sleep sweetheart?" Mom asked.
"Great actually thank you for asking."
I drank my coffee and we all sat there in silence. I finished and decided to leave. I decided I'd make dinner tonight. I jumped in the car and Alisha decided to ride with me.
"So did you and Sam straighten things out yet?" Alisha asked.
"Absolutely not, and we may not. What do you think of Ace now that you've met him?"
"To be honest he's amazing! I don't know what Sam's issue is with him. He is perfect to me. I hope I can get a man to speak about me the way Ace talks about you. I really believe he's the one for you. I'm very happy for you! Now I need you to hook me up! I'm sorry things are so bad with Sam. But don't worry I'll always be by your side and on your side. You're my sister and you'll always come first." Alisha explained.
"Well thank you, I'll work on finding you Mr.Right. I appreciate you saying you'll have my back. Now I'm thinking spaghetti and french bread for dinner." I said. We then went inside and gathered the materials. Next we went home. When I walked in the door I received a terrifying text saying: "This isn't over. Trust me."
"Hey Ace can I talk to you for a minute?" I asked.
"Yes of course." He followed me outside.
"Ace I just received a text from Kai and it isn't good, I'm really scared." I said.
"Okay I understand but don't you worry, I'm right here. What did the message say?"
I showed him.
"That dumb motherfucker. I'll take care of it. If you don't mind, I'd like to put malware on your phone. So I can see everything he sends you. Matthew code red." Ace said.
"Yes that's fine. " I responded. He took my phone and diligently did things to it. He then gave it back and said he and Matthew would be back. They then took the SUV and left.
