"I'm still having a hard time believing my little sister is engaged! I'm not even sure marriage is in the cards for me. But I wish you the best, he really seems great. So are you pregnant? Or do you want kids?" Alisha asked.
"I hope you do settle down eventually. Ace is really great. Why on earth would you ask if I'm pregnant? I'm not, I don't know if I want kids. I've never really thought about it, I might want a baby one day." I answered.
"It's just a question, I think you should you'd be a great mom! We really need to hang out more. I feel like I never see you anymore." Alisha explained.
"Yeah we do need to hang out more. So after we leave here we have Ace's parents coming to visit. I'm nervous I've never met them"
"You have no reason to be nervous they are lucky you're with their son! But now that you're engaged it's good to meet them." Alisha replied.
"Well thank you but I'm still nervous. "I admitted.
I next to went to sleep.
The next morning I woke up and Ace was yet again no where to be found. I looked all over for him but this time I didn't find him and the SUV was still gone. I tried to call Ace but no answer. I got dressed and headed downstairs. My mom had made eggs, sausage, and toast for breakfast. I sat down and started to dig in.
"Where's Ace? I have his plate all ready for him." My mother asked.
"Oh he's doing some work things. He'll be back later." I said.
"Well that is sad. I'll have to just keep it warm for him." She replied.
"So where is dad?" I asked.
"He's at the course. I swear that golf course has become his baby." My mom explained.
I finished eating breakfast and Ace and Matthew finally came in.
I said nothing I just went upstairs. A few minutes later the door opened and it happened to be Ace.
"Why did you run up here when I came in?" Ace asked.
"You didn't come home last night, you also didn't answer or return my calls or texts. I now have nothing to say to you." I snapped.
"I was quite busy. I'm sorry. But I'm here now. Are you ready to pack? My parents are all set to come over." Ace explained.
"I already packed. You still have to, now I'm taking my stuff downstairs I'll meet you there." I said I then exited the room. I heard Ace huffed.
"Ace is going to have to eat his breakfast before you leave. I'm so sad you're leaving. It has been so wonderful to see you. I've loved having both of my girls here at the same time. It's so rare to have that happen and my little girl being engaged! Ace is so wonderful! I'm so happy to have him join this family." My mother exclaimed.
"Thank you mom, it has been great this weekend. It's been nice to be here. I'm glad you got to meet Ace and that you like him." I responded. Then Ace walked in with his bags.
"Now you didn't get to eat so I have it ready for you for the road. It was wonderful to meet you and I'm so happy you're with my baby. I think you two are beautiful together." My mother said then pulling Ace into a tight hug.
"Thank you so much, it's been an honor to meet you. Thank you for your hospitality. " Ace said hugging her back. We next headed back on the road.
"Will you please talk to me? I told you I was sorry." Ace pleaded.
"Ace we aren't just a couple. We are engaged. We are planning a life together. You can't just do what you want. If we are going to get married we need to be a team about everything. You need to take this seriously. I chose you over my best friends." I explained.
