For the next few months we did a ton of wedding planning. Ace didn't speak to his parents either. Anytime I ask about them he refuses to speak of them. My nerves are growing because the wedding is in two days. I'm not nervous to marry Ace, I love him. Anyway Alisha is coming over to hang out today. So Ace made us come back to the Caribbean. Alisha flew back with us. He said it was still too dangerous to be home. So our wedding will be here on the beach. It is considered a destination wedding so everyone will have to fly here. Ace's parents feel bad about their behavior so as a ploy to suck up they are paying for the wedding and for everyone to fly and stay out here. Everyone will be arriving today.

Next there was a knock at the door.

"Hi, oh my god how are you enjoying the Caribbean?" I asked as Alisha entered the room.

"It is utterly breathtaking. I can't believe my little sister is getting married. But not just getting married, getting married to the king of the assassins. You are such a rebel. But I do think it is nice that I know he can defend your honor well. Our mother won't leave me alone about me getting married now. Thanks for that." Alisha explained.

"I'm so excited but I'm nervous." I admitted.

"Well what are you nervous about?" She asked.

"Who could be at the door?" I asked.

"Oh I ordered strawberries. Now what are you nervous about?" Alisha pried.

"Well I'm not nervous to marry Ace. I can honestly say that. But I am nervous about marrying his life. I'm always going to be worried about him. Not to mention once we are married my life will always be in a ton of danger. I am honestly scared of those things." I admitted.

"Ace is wonderful and you love each other. That is what really matters the rest will just fall into place." Alisha said.

"Ma'am, I would like to let you know everyone has arrived and has been put in their rooms." Matthew said.

"Thank you Matthew we will be ready for the rehearsal dinner momentarily. Where is Ace?" I asked.

"Ace has told me to send you his apologies, his meeting is running late. Unfortunately he will have to meet you at dinner." Matthew explained.

"Okay that's fine. Thank you Matthew." I responded.

Next I pulled on my floor length black dress with red roses. Alisha put on her royal blue dress that goes to the floor.

"So Alice you are swimming in dick. How the hell are you surrounded by so many hot guys all of the time?" Alisha asked.

"Alisha, oh my god you can't say that! What are you even talking about?" I asked.

"Hello? You have Asher who is gorgeous and now Matthew, he's hot too. But you are engaged to a gorgeous man that has all of the power so I'm sure you haven't even noticed. I don't blame you, I wouldn't either." She explained.

"I'm very happy with Ace and you need to leave Asher alone." I said with a giggle.

Next we headed to dinner. At the rehearsal dinner Ace arrived, his siblings and parents were there as were mine.

As we were all eating our shrimp alfredo Ace's father decided he needed to speak. He stood up and grabbed a glass of champagne.

"I would like to take a moment to apologize for my actions. Alice I know I have not treated you well since we met. I just have a fear that since Ace has found love that he wouldn't be able to run the company properly anymore. I have realized that was wrong of me. I also realized that every man in power needs his queen to make sure things run smoothly. So Alice from the bottom of my heart I apologize for the way I have treated you. From this point I will treat you with the utmost respect because that's what you deserve. We welcome you to our family with open arms and will always protect you. Now to Alice's family I would like to apologize also. You have raised a wonderful woman and I didn't acknowledge that, instead I was being selfish. Therefore I apologize for all of the comments that I made. We welcome you all as well to our family. Ace I would like to apologize to you as well. I should have had more faith in you. I also should trust your decisions and judgement. I'm sorry I mistreated your bride. You deserve better than that. Lastly I would like to congratulate Ace and Alice on their wedding. I can honestly I can't wait for the wedding and I'm blessed to be a part of it. Cheers!" Ace's dad toasted. The rest of the night was pretty uneventful.
