(Chapter.30) What I Did

"I'm psyched that you're here. But why are you here?" Alisha asked as I put my bag down.

"I met Ace's parents and his father doesn't like me. They are staying the whole weekend. So I can not. I snuck out while Ace was still asleep. I'm going to have to have his family become my family if I marry him. I'm not sure that is something I want to be honest." I admitted.

"Oh my gosh. I'm so sorry you're having doubts. You are always welcome here." She said.

"I just need some time away." I explained.

"That's fine, I was planning on going to the beach today with Sam but she backed out. So do you want to go?" Alisha asked.

"That would be great!"

We both went and got our bathing suits on. I put back on my black with red roses tankini. Alisha put on a blue tankini with yellow sunflowers on it. Her bottoms are blue. We grabbed our beach bags and left.

When we arrived at the beach it was surprisingly not crowded. We put our stuff down and put sunscreen on. I slid my engagement ring into my bag so I don't lose it in the water. We then grabbed our boogie boards and then headed into the water. We jumped waves and tried to tricks in them. We did that for a few hours. We then decided we needed a break. We sat down and started drinking water when two gorgeous guys approached us. One with light blonde hair and dark blue eyes and black and white plaid swimming trunks. The other with black hair and light green eyes with solid blue trunks.

"Hey, we saw yall out there. You both are really good boogie boarders. Would you want to grab lunch?" The guy with the black asked.

Before I could say anything Alisha was dragging me with her.

We sat down and Alisha and I both ordered shrimp and fries.

"I'm Darren and this is my friend Chase." The black haired guy said.

"Nice to meet you. I'm Alisha and this is my sister Alice." Alisha said. Our food then came.

"Nice to meet you both." I said.

"You as well." Chase said.

I'd be lying if I said Chase wasn't super hot. But I don't know what to do with that.

We all finished lunch and headed for the water. Before I knew it Alisha and Darren were making out in the ocean with their hands all over each other. Next Chase had his arms around me throwing me into the water. I laughed and screamed. I was having a stress free great time. Sometimes I feel as if things with Ace are stressful and always will be. It's nice to just play in the water and have fun at the beach. This completely harmless. Right?

Next Chase embraced me and kissed me in the water. The sun started to set.

"You are absolutely stunning Alice." Chase said looking deep into my eyes.

"You are too." I said.

"Hey, we will meet up with yall later." Alisha said. She then walked out of the water with Darren's arm around her.

"I guess it's just you and I." Chase said then kissing me again.

"I guess so." I said kissing him back. He then picked me up and I wrapped my legs around him while continuing to kiss him.

"As fun as this is, tell me about you." Chase said. So I did.

"Now enough about me. Tell me about you." I said.

"Well I'm a real estate agent, a pretty successful one. I'm an only child and my parents have money but I wanted to make my own so when I turned eighteen I no longer took the allowance. I grew up in Virginia. That about sums up me." Chase explained.

"Wow you are so amazing!" I said. I then followed Chase back to his place. He lives in a huge penthouse. Chase shut the door and pushed me up against the wall kissing down my neck. He then picked me up and took me to the bed. After that it went down.

The next morning I woke up and checked my phone. Which is the first time I've checked it since going to the beach. I had tons of messages from Ace, texts and voicemails.I went to listen to a voicemail when I realized I wasn't at Alisha's house. I then realized I was naked and there was Chase naked asleep next to me. Oh no what did I do? Oh shit! I threw my shirt on and went to the balcony. I then opened a voicemail.

"Hey Alice, I'm so sorry my father has acted this way. I understand you not wanting to be here while they are. I can make them leave. Just tell me what you need. I'll do it. I love you. Call me back." Ace said in the message.

I then opened another one.

"Alice it's Ace again, Why are you not speaking to me? What did I do? Should I be worried? Call me or text me back." Ace said.

Oh fuck, oh fuck, oh fuck. What the fuck did I do? I've got to get the hell out of here. I then went and grabbed the rest of my clothes and I left quietly. I headed back to Alisha's house.

I walked in and I heard the shower going. I sat down and tried to finish putting myself back together. A few minutes later Alisha came out dressed.

"Oh hey I figured you went home." Alisha said.

"I need to talk." I said.

"Okay sure, Alice what is it? Why are you crying?" Alisha asked.

"I went home with Chase last night." I said then wiping my face.

"So? I went home with Darren too. But I slept with Darren and I have plans with him again. I really like him so far!" Alisha said.

"No, Alisha I slept with Chase and I snuck out this morning." I said.

"Oh okay, well you can't tell Ace. I repeat you can't tell Ace. It was a mistake. But he never has to know. Do you like Chase?" She asked.

"Yes, life with him would be so simple and just for a night I kind of let that take over me. I can't believe I did that." I said.

"Okay, well are you thinking about leaving Ace?" Alisha asked.

"I don't think so." I said.

"Then you better not tell Ace. I don't think he would take it well. Just pretend it never happened and move on with your life. I mean you're engaged, you love Ace, he loves you, and he's rich so your life together will be amazing. Let's never speak of it again, now go home and be with your fiance while I call Darren." Alisha said shoving me out of the door.

She's right I'll just pretend it never happened. No problem. Right? As I drove home my mind continued to race. As I got closer I tried to get myself calm. When I reached the driveway they were cars and people everywhere. What the fuck is going on? I then got out, grabbed my bag, and headed in the ring of fire.
