"new year, new me"

I started this chapter in January, ya know, the new year. But, I could never figure out what I was going to write about.

It's been a very... overwhelming year.

So let's talk about what I haven't been for the last 3 months, excluding all major world events (i.e. ... corona).

- I didn't get hired for a job that I was really looking forward to getting.

- I haven't decided where I'm going to college or even if I'm going to do my sport in college

- I'm kinda kicking ass in debate rn, not even going to lie.

update as of april 11, 2020:

2020 sucks.

- I've continued working at a job I've previously had

... we now have to wear masks when speaking to customers.

- I'm going to college and am signing to be an athlete..

- Debate got cancelled and my partner and I lost our chance to qualify for the national debate championships

- My boyfriend broke up with me and then continued to ask if we were still going to prom together. I found another date (we'll see how that goes).

- My school doesn't know how it's going to do graduation, so we probably won't get an in person graduation and the moment I've waited 13 years for was just taken away from everyone.

- Online school is the worst thing I've ever done.

- I'm starting a social media fast

- I don't get to say goodbye to all of my favorite staff and faculty.

- Our senior trip was cancelled and they're currently working on refunding us our money.

- And I will never again step foot in a high school as a student.

When did everything go.. so wrong.

When did my senior year start to go to complete and total shit? Where did everything start to fall apart??

Now, I'm convinced that we fucked up. We must be the collateral damage for some massive karma that needed to be dealt with. That needed to be handled.

I just...

I know I'm selfish and I know that there's a lot going on in the world rn... but in my defense, this sucks ass. Everything about it.
