I could feel the soft summer breeze on my face and brushing through my hair. I love the smell of sweet-smelling flowers filling my nose. I love running my hands through the long grass and having the shorter bits of grass tickling my little toes. However, my favourite thing to do is to lay back on the ground with my head resting on my boyfriend's, Johnny, chest listening to his heartbeat with his hands running through my hair whilst the golden sun is shinny down on my face. I always feel so safe and happy here even though my two best friends, Charlotte and Robbie, are full on pelting loads of cake and handfuls of other types of food at each other. Suddenly, I felt the cold sliminess of the green jelly sliding down my back and neck, ''I'm sorry little bear it was an... accident.'' It was Johnny and even with the use of the cute little nickname he was so in for it and I was not going to let this go so easily. ''Oh, that's okay it really was an accident after all,'' I said. I went in for a hug and kiss and as he closed his eyes, I grabbed the gooey trifle that was loaded with cream and smashed it into his face. Me, Charlotte and Robbie all started bursting out with laughter. ''Oops I'm sorry I ruined your perfectly styled blonde hair, but you should know by now not to mess with me,'' I stated being all sassy.
''You've got a bit on your cheek let me get it got you,'' Johnny whispered as he leant in to kiss me.
''Beep! Beep! Beep!'' Then, just as things would start to get good, I would be awoken by my evil alarm and I would be sucked back into my nightmare life. I hated everything about reality. I hated my family, my school and I hated myself most of all. I've been bullied for as long as I can remember, I don't even know why people bully me, I have never done anything to hurt them. They treat me as if I'm a piece of gum stuck to the bottom of their shoe. I go into school and someone would always say something or do something horrible to me and I don't know why. I led there for I don't know how long just staring at my black ceiling until I knew it was time that I should probably get ready to go to hell which is more commonly known as school. I quickly got dressed into my usual outfit of jeans, a t-shirt, a flannel, my converse and most importantly my sleeves. I ran downstairs and of course my stupid brother Alex, who is eighteen which is two years older than I am, and his stupid mates are passed out all around the front room probably from the party last night, Alex was on the sofa. ''Alex! Alex!'' He wouldn't wake up and I had the perfect idea on how to. I grabbed a cold glass of water and chucked it over him causing him to jump a mile. ''Jesus El. What do you want you little freak?''
''Where's Mel?'' Mel is my auntie that looks after me and Alex.
'She left last night with one of her boyfriends and she will be gone for a couple of weeks. Now get lost!" I stormed off out of the house but making sure to grab my backpack first. I could hear Matt, who is Alex's best mate, moaning about how annoying I was in the distance. Alex has never stood up for me especially when it was his friends making fun of me. As Alex climbed up the social ladder he became more of a douche.
As I walked through my boring little town, I had people I don't even know judging me. The town I lived in was called Murrberry and it sucked. There wasn't much to do here apart from go to the small shopping centre that didn't have many shops or go to this lame club called Party Time if you were old enough but if you weren't you would probably go to watch the school's football team. However, luckily the town was right next to a beach that wasn't too bad and not many people came to visit Murrberry. I walked into a corner shop to grab a pasta pot for my lunch. I was waiting in the line when an old woman behind me started talking to me, ''dear you don't look very presentable to be going to school especially with that coloured hair it looks ridiculous.''
''Thanks,'' I muttered. I hated it when people commented on my hair, it's like so what if I have light blue hair. I get told it looks mouldy a lot.
I had just arrived at school and I was totally looking forward to it. I had people shoving verbal abuse down my throat, but I tried to ignore it and continued to head to my locker. As I opened my locker, some eggs came rolling out and smashed on my shoes and of course everyone around me was laughing at me. I grabbed my sketch book and headed to the girl's bathroom. I cleaned up my shoes and then just stored there staring into the mirror. Two girls suddenly walked into the bathroom and it was the last people I wanted to see. Melissa and Nicole. They are the most popular girl but not just in school but in the town as well. Nicole was a short blonde-haired girl that always wears space buns and dresses as if she was from the nighties. Then there was Melissa who had long black hair and emerald green eyes. She would win a beauty and popularity contest any day and would always follow the latest fashion trends. She looked like a sweet nice girl, but she was more than just a mean girl. Melissa and Nicole were two of my main bullies and you would think that once I get to the safety of my own home you would think I would be free of the bullying but her older brother was Matt, who is a boy version of Melissa, and he happens to constantly be around my house hanging out with my Alex. ''Nic doesn't it smell like something is rotting in here?''
''Yeah, it does, like rotten eggs.'' Nicole replied to Melissa,
''oh, look it's Eggy Ellie which explains why it stinks.''
''Screw you Melissa go screw your boyfriend or something and just leave me alone.''
''At least I can get a boyfriend,'' Melissa shouted as I pushed past them and headed to my first lesson which was Japanese which is a weird language to take. I get called Eggy Ellie because when I was seven we were doing a project in science where we head to safely drop an egg from the top of a building without it smashing and my group's failed and the egg rolled out and smashed onto my head so ever since then I've been called Eggy Ellie. I sat at my desk and there was a note pinned to my desk with ''something smells gross'' written on it in all caps, I screwed it up and threw it back at the boys who were clearly the ones who wrote it. ''Miss Mills could you please not throw things in my class,'' the teacher said whilst staring directly at me, but I just ignored him and started to doodle in my sketch book.
Halfway during the lesson, the headmaster came into the class followed by a boy with mid-length flowing black hair and eyes that were so dark you could mistake them for being black. ''Mr Insample you have a new student joining your class today. Class this is Jamie Wright and he is new to our school and to our town as well, so I want you all to make him feel welcome and show some school spirit.''
''Welcome Mr Wright you can find somewhere to sit and see how well you get on with catching up.'' Jamie sat at the desk next to mine and got out a notebook. Suddenly, I felt lots of little things bounce off the back of my head and my back and my first guess is that they were disgusting spit balls. It didn't take me long before I couldn't take anymore, and I snapped. I turned around and screamed, ''Dikkusu!''
''What is that supposed to mean?'' One of the boys that were spitting the balls at me said.
''Well maybe if you paid attention in class you would know.'' I grabbed my stuff and stormed out of the class before the teacher could attempt to stop me then headed for the exit. I was close to the exit before I heard someone calling after me. I turned around and saw the headteacher beckoning me into his office and before I even had a chance to think about it, I was sat at his desk. ''Would you like to tell me what happened?'' My headteacher asked.
''Nope.''
''Let my guess, something happened with the other students in your class?'' I didn't answer. ''Ellie you need to find some friends, a group of people that you fit in with. You're 16 you need some friends. I've known you since you were young, and I remember you always being by yourself.''
''Well I can't help it that I'm an outcast and I'm the most hated person, I'm even more hated than the maths teacher that gives out detentions for no reason.'' I jumped up and marched out of his office and started to head for the exit. I could hear his voice fading away as I walked down the hallway. I hated this school. The teachers know about people bullying me and sometimes even witness it but never do anything to stop it. I didn't want to head home as I knew Alex and his mates would still be there and plus, I had more lessons that I needed to attend so I just headed to the back field.
