Two months ago Renjun has moved out for good, the house was so empty Jae couldn't find his place. The autumn evenings were spreading out so he was spending them in the company or visiting Doyoung and Taeil. Jae would have never expected life to leave him as a ship wreck all alone with just money, but no more family by his side. Maybe he was a little bit like his father, both sharing the same faith, no children at home, no life partner, a total emptiness.
The night fell quickly, a heavy wind was blowing howling in the firs outside, knocking to the widows of the castle when Jae was trying his best to fall asleep cuddling to Ti, the only living being beside him left.
He could take a car, go for a night ride, although he had been done with adrenaline. Could stop at a random club, forget the sky in wilding, for what purpose, he couldn't name. In broken hope for a better life when it was all gone.
He could wake up Doyoung in the middle of the night, but Doyoung was always negative. Taeil and Mark had been out on a trip so their flat was empty. So Jae could wake up his son. For what? To cry his heart out to Junie, complain about how lonely he is, how cold and ungrateful his baby is to leave him like that for Jaemin.
Or... he could even visit Sicheng, but that meant seeing Yuta, or go to Lauren which meant seeing Kun, so rather not. Something in the far end of the corridor cracked, so he jumped from the bed taking Ti in his arms storming out of the bedroom to see that the wind has opened one of the windows. Jae needed to use all his strength to close it. Enough! Enough of this creepy place, he could at least go to a pub, get drunk, sit between people, not listen to total silence, he just needed to leave Ti somewhere. At Renjun and Jaemin's, no he rather not witness his son all in love cuddling to his boyfriend.
It would remind him of the bitterness of a parent who had to let his child go ignoring the regret.
All for Junie's good, although he was always feeling like his mother, but it never helped.
The time seemed spreading when he dressed up quickly taking the car key, placing Ti in her cage while she was protesting by hissing, she even tried to bite him.
"Stay hefe," Jae closed the cage then took it to the car. It was hard to drive through the wind, to try to keep the car on the road, a lot of branches were lying here and there.
Jae was driving slowly, the windshields barely dealing with the heavy rain, it was a nightmare to reach the city, there driving in the lights of the street lamps became a little bit nicer. He was nervous, trembling terribly an inner cold or fever tearing him apart when he stopped the car to speak to a security who let him in into the underground car park of a penthouse.
"You have to stay hefe fof the night, I've pick you up once I can," whispered Jae taking Ti's cage out carrying it to the elevator, pressing floor six.
He suddenly remembered the sunny day ages ago when he had taken this elevator for the very first time, excited, scared, assisted by Doyoung. He would never forget the moment when Taeyong had opened the door letting them in, when Doyoung left them alone and Taeyong had saved hie phone number as 'mine'.
Yes, mine. Jae let out a long sigh, had he known back then... he would have never touched Taeyong.
The elevator stopped so he went out walking down the corridor, pressing the doorbell quickly. It took some time till the lock sounded. Taeyong was wearing a hoodie over his pajama, his hair undone, his glasses on.
"Jae?" he asked stunned.
"I won't be long, just Mafk and Taeil went fof holiday and I... I have plans fof the night, don't know whefe to leave Ti," he pointed at the cage.
"Sure, sure, come in," Taeyong opened the door further so Jae walked inside leaving his shoes in the hall carrying the cage in.
"Whefe can I leave hef?" he asked.
"There, over there," Taeyong was nervous playing with the edges of his sleeves.
"Ok. Bye," Jae put the cage on the polished floor then rubbed his shaky hands.
"Bye... I mean... how's Junie?" asked Taeyong.
"Good, living with Jaemin fof two months now," Jae felt like cut, like stubbed in the heart.
"It's good, they're happy... I'm happy for him. How are you dealing with it?" asked Taeyong.
"Fine," Jae lied taking two steps towards the door as each second here was troublesome, heavy, dangerous.
"So, yeah I will not hold you back, you can come to pick Ti up anytime, just wake me up," muttered Taeyong.
"Sufe," Jae shrugged.
"Jae I... I wish you a nice night."
"Thanks," Jae turned around walking to the hall taking his shoes putting them on quickly.
"Jae!"
Thank you so much for being here. My life is a roller coaster now but you are my safe harbor. What do you think about Jae visiting Taeyong? What will Taeyong tell?
