"Would you like?" asked Jaemin watching him when Renjun sighed loudly.

"I don't mind, I just don't know if now is the right time. I have a world tour, my uni to finish, a lot."

"I'll take care of her, you don't need to worry," Jaemin's fingertips were playing with the even more messy breads.

"You're already into her, right?" Renjun caught Jaemin's warm gaze.

"If you say that it's not possible now I'll respect," muttered Jaemin when Renjun's stomach twisted unpleasantly.

Jaemin has already made his choice, the girl has come here to him, because she believed he will be like Jae, protect her from all harm. How could he force this Jaemin to say the little girl he's leaving and never coming back?

"What about two children," said Renjun suddenly.

"What?"

"I mean, you have made a choice, while I yeah... I'll cheek if there's one I like," he said when Jaemin opened his mouth then closed it again.

"Yes, actually why not, she could use a brother or sister, as long as they won't scratch their eyes out," Jaemin giggled. "Yes, if you find someone you like, you can take one, two, three, the whole school."

"Stop!" Renjun turned from him.

"If you find someone you like, I'm ready for it," Jaemin caressed his check. "Do you give me a green light for this little one here?" he asked when Renjun was staring at the ceiling considering it hard.

"Ok," he siad finally, remembering that Jae has been against adoption first, but when they had met it has all changed.

The girl was just a child, yet there was no chemistry between him and her now, while Jae has said, he had called in love at the first sight. Despite it, Renjun had decided to allow Jaemin to open a new chapter in their relationship and give someone as lost and lonely as he had been hope.

"You're the best, I'll speak to the pastor tomorrow," Jaemin kissed his cheek before lying down and closing his eyes. Renjun was listening to Jaemin's quiet breath, the girl's quiet breath when he was still staring at the cracks in the ceiling.

The morning was hot, the air as stuffy as the previous day, Renjun was watching Jaemin and the pastor sitting on a terrace, drinking black coffee.

"Hello Mr. Huang," said the man, he was more aged by life than his actual age, his hair all white, his face wrinkled.

"We're discussing the adoption," said Jaemin when Renjun froze for a moment then came to them, he saw a list of names, the total amount 85.

"You can meet all the children from this facility today, take that list and if someone catches your attention just circle his or her name," Jaemin gave the paper to him.

"What do you mean?"

"You've said you would like another child," Jaemin's eyes were filled with hople, love and fire. Renjun looked away taking the list with trembling hands.

"Ok, I'll speak to them. Can I start now, we need to leave as soon as we can," he got up squeezing the list, stumbling towards the main building.

All the stories Jae had told him about traveling the country up and down with Taeyong, going through a sea of pain, visiting all possible orphanages to find him on the last one on the list, what seemed like a miracle, were becoming so alive now, when Renjun was speaking to the kids. They were different ages, came from diverse backgrounds, were eager to speak to him or completely quiet, yet he was crossing out all names on the list until there was just one, of a kid he couldn't find anywhere, left.

"How come that one isn't here?" asked Renjun approaching a worker who was giving out meals for the children.

"Ah, he's rather... strange," she said.

"What do you mean by strange?"

"The kid sneaks out every day, we had to look for him first, now we know that he will just come back for the night. He thinks he can be free from being an orphan," she shook her head, when Renjun felt shivers running down his spine.

"What does he do when he isn't here?"

"Who knows? The locals say wild stories about him being a fortune teller, selling prophecies on the long bridge that leads to the temple in the mountains."

"Prophecies?" asked Renjun. "Where does he get them from?"

"Imagines them then writes down on pieces of paper. He's stealing paper from the school supplies frequently. I think he's one weird kid, but we have no time to take care of him," she sighed walking back to the kitchen while Renjun followed her stunned.

"How old is he?"

"He's 6, had taught himself how to read and write," she just focused her attention on the row of empty pots while Renjun was standing there staring on that one name left on the list.
