"I made a song for Chenle's album, I wanted to discuss it," said Taeyong taking place next to Jae.

"A song? We don't need your songs!" Doyoung tensed.

"The CEO had asked me to write it, gave me one night to finish it," Taeyong's cheeks became red.

"Jae are you crazy!" shouted Doyoung right into his ear.

"But Taeyong is a genius songwriter man," Mark winked to them.

"Let's leave the past behind the door for tonight, we're adults, right?" asked Taeyong glancing at all faces around the table when Jae felt it will never be possible. He only should have invited Kun for the party to be complete, the perfect gathering after years.

"So here's the song," Taeyong gave Jae his earphones then pressed a file on his phone while Jae was trying his best to forget Yuta and the misshapen party listening to Taeyong's low voice on the demo.

The song was great, so great, the music nostalgic when he was watching Chenle and Daisy laughing loudly at another table, realizing Chenle was living Renjun's dream, and he had let it happen. Maybe he wasn't any better than Taeyong, maybe they both had ruined Renjun's life rather than saving it, even if, they wished so badly to give their son and amazing future.

The song had stopped a moment ago, but he was still looking at Chenle, the confident young man who had come here as the star of the night, and at the beautiful woman at his side. Could this have been Renjun? Jae felt a tear rolling down his cheek, so he washed it away quickly.

"Come we need to talk about the song," he jumped up taking Taeyong's phone.

He was walking swiftly, Taeyong following him closely, both took the elevator up to his office where he closed the door behind them.

"Is the song ok, I really did my best?" asked Taeyong when Jae put the phone and earphones on the desk.

"It's gfeat," Jae sunk into his boss-chair looking over the magnificent city view behind the widows.

"So what is it?"

"Evefything, I've just fealized you'fe figh. We had indeed destfoyed Junie," Jae started to bite his nails fighting the tears.

"You're looking at Chenle and thinking, this could be my son if I had done everything right?" whispered Taeyong when Jae nodded.

"Can you..." Jae's voice cracked, he washed more tears off with his sleeve. "Can you ask Junie if he'd like to feocfd this song with you? My company will pfoduce it and pfomote him."

Taeyong was silent watching him in shock.

"But you need a song for Chenle?"

"I can give him one of the many songs my company has on the waiting list fof futufe pfomotions. This hefe is a mastefpiece, and Junie desfves nothing less," Jae glanced at his own tear drops scattering the table top.

"The press will be even more offensive towards him and Jaemin if he debuts," whispered Taeyong. "They will drug everything out, or misshapen relationship, or sexuality, the age gap between them, some people might even accuse Jaemin of abusing Renjun when he has still been a minor."

"We will ignofe what people say like we always did. I just want my son o live his dfeam, not only sing to Ti when he's sad," whispered Jae.

"If it's your wish, I'll call him in the morning and discuss the recording," said Taeyong calmly.

"Ok, you have the studios and all my wofkefs, just make it amazing, I tfust you with that," Jae looked in Taeyong's eyes when his ex lowered his gaze quickly.

The cold shower made the pain less when Renjun turned the water off drying himself quickly. He slipped into his pajamas and a hoodie as it was cold inside him, around him. Despite Jaemin being here he was woken up by a sharp pain in his belly, as always p, the same nightmare repenting itself again and again. Renjun just left the bed, drank down a pill then took a cold shower to wash off the traces of the things they had done, the memories of the fiery night they had. Jaemin was sleeping peacefully when he entered the bedroom, so Renjun stopped, watching his boyfriend, considering whether to stay here or go downstairs to find Ti and cry himself out into her fur.

Jaemin must have felt his presence as he moved opening his eyes glancing around absent-mindedly.

"Renjun?" he whispered touching the empty bed on his side. "Junie... ah you're here," Jaemin sat up, the mess of fluffy hair was sticking in all directions.

"I can't sleep," whispered Renjun.

"Is it the pain again?" asked Jaemin sleepily.

"Don't worry," Renjun shivered when Jaemin's dark eyes laid on him.

"Come here, you should have woken me up," whispered Jaemin stretching his hand out catching his palm caressing over it.

"It's ok," Renjun winced when the pain in his insides became sharper.

"Junie come and sit down, breath ok," Jaemin pulled him closer till he sat on the mattress touching his belly groaning loudly.

"Shh, I'm here ok," Jaemin's warm palm landed on his tummy caressing up and down in gentle moves. "It's ok. I'm here," he repeated when Renjun rested his forehead against Jaemin's shoulder inhaling loudly.

Something cracked downstairs when he jumped up, all hair raising on his body.

"Someone's in the house!"

"Junie relax!" begged Jaemin.

"No please! There's someone! Had broken in!" Renjun was trembling like crazy his teeth clenching against each other.

"Junie shhhh, it's ok," Jaemin jumped out of the bed running to him pulling him into a hug.

But there it was again, louder, as if something was breaking with a huge noise, Jaemin let go of him.

"Stay here!" he said putting his jeans on, throwing a shirt over his shoulders. Renjun felt so weak he was barely able to stand.

"Stay here!" shouted Jaemin looking at him seriously before running out of the bedroom when Renjun froze.

What if there were some bad people who will hurt Jaemin? He had nothing to defend himself with.

"Jaemin... " whispered Renjun running downstairs, images of Jaemin lying on the floor in a puddle of blood, like Kun has been years ago, storming through his head when he fell into the marble corridor to see a huge vase had broken into pieces, the shreds were lying all over the floor.
