A meddling mother.....

Sasha and Jenna stood in the barn entrance locked in a stare, Sloan had a smile creep across her face. "Why should I give you another chance to talk me out of this, you've denied me so many times Jenna, I can't stay on the field with Colin and I'm not about to let this beat me down," She warned. "I listened to your daughter, it was heartfelt, I did commit to Colin, I just don't know how to stop from breaking his heart," She replied with earnest. "One day, it will happen, heartbreak is a terrible thing Jenna, but you'll always desire me, you fell in love with me and out of love with him," Sasha advised.

Jenna crossed her arms, "I don't know what to do," Sasha took her hand sympathetically. Sloan cocked her head towards her grandmother, Margaret watched intensely, "Grandmother, why don't we fix an early lunch," She pulled her away from the window. Margaret felt strange, the hand touching between her daughter and the doctor she was engaged in conversation with. "What's going on Sloan?" Margaret broached, "I think you need to let mom tell you," She responded. "Jenna," Sasha began, Jenna whisked her into the barn office, they kissed gently.

"I can't keep doing this," Sasha complained wiping her lips off, "And I can't stop loving you, thinking about you," Jenna was quick with her remark. They took each other in arms kissing passionately as they they never had before, "You need to tell Colin Jenna, I won't let this continue," Jenna held Sasha more closely and tightly, "I just have to find the right time and a way," She shrugged her lips touching Sasha's forehead. "I have to go, I have work, why don't I stop over afterwards, its a short day for me," Sasha grinned, "Sure," They walked from the barn to the driveway, Sasha saw her off.

Sasha dusted her jeans off and laid her work gloves on the bench next to the door of the back porch, "Mom," Sloan was abrupt, "Grandmother and I have prepared lunch," Sasha smiled, "Let me wash up," Margaret stared remaining mum. They sat to the table together a bowl of hot soup and sandwiches awaited them, "Mom, you're awfully quiet," Sasha noticed. Margaret didn't know what to say, "I think she's just a little tired," Sloan interjected, "Eat, please," She further demanded, they did. "Thank you, Jose will be back soon, I should be through early," Sasha left the table, Margaret was beside herself.

"Something's wrong," Margaret told Sloan as they cleaned the kitchen, "Nonsense," Sloan argued, "Still your mother is acting strange," Sloan cleared her throat, "Have you talked to her?" Margaret groaned, "Sasha won't say," She urged, "And how do you know until you talk to her?" Sloan asked as she put the last dried dish back into the cabinet. "This doctor, it seems they're close," Sloan smiled at her grandmother, "They are, they're very good friends," She explained. "It looks like more then that," Margaret raised her voice.

Sasha showered, while Sloan was walking around the property, a knock came to the door, Margaret answered. "Hello," Jenna was polite standing there, Margaret managed to greet her, "Sasha around?" She looked inside, "Yes she's in the shower," Margaret showed her in. Sasha came down the hallway towel drying her hair, a robe clad her body. "Hey, uh, I could come back," She told Sasha, "No, let me dress," Sasha made her way down the hallway, Jenna sat to the sofa, "Can I get you something to drink?" Margaret was somewhat nervous. "No thank you, I'm fine," She waited for Sasha.

Sasha strolled down the hallway back to the living room she joined Jenna on the sofa, Margaret excused herself. "I hope I wasn't intruding," Jenna spoke softly, "Just to see you," Sasha murmured. "Your mother seems a little tense," She changed the subject, "Really, I hadn't noticed, but she was quiet at lunch," She thought about it. "Sloan around," There was small talk between the two of them, "She's exploring the property, Jose showed her around the apple orchard earlier, I think she likes it here," She giggled, "Colin is going to be late, I thought you could walk over," Jenna mused.
