Bittersweet.....
Margaret took her seat in the theater contemplating her daughter's performance just as she had done in the past, "Sasha Addison is still as radiant as ever," A young man sat next to her flipping through the program, gabbing with the woman sitting next to him. Margaret secretly smiled and giggled, any fears she had about Sasha's clout had gone out the window, the raves and ratings would be good. The play began, going off without a hitch.
Brian Carr waited outside Sasha's door, a beautiful woman walked up along side of him she nodded clutching the strap of her purse she felt strange. Jenna had never been backstage at a play before, she gazed at the handsome man standing next to her, a bouquet of yellow roses rested in his arms, "Are you here for Sasha?" She blurted feeling the tension course through her body. "I am, you?" He knew exactly who she was, "Yes," She meekly spoke, "I'm Brian Carr," He stated, Jenna trembled inside, "Oh, hello, are you Sloan's father?" She didn't know what else to say.
"I am," He smiled with pride, "You must be the lady that has Sasha's heartstrings bound," He honestly spoke catching her off guard, "She told you?" She stared intensely. "She did," Jenna tucked her chin to her chest, things had begun to come to light, "Could you tell her I was here?" She quietly asked, "He grunted with a laugh, "Why don't you tell her yourself," She frowned shaking her head slightly. Brian eyeing her handed her the bouquet, Jenna swept them up in her arms, "Yellow roses are her favorite," His grin impish as he spoke. "Thank you," She looked down smelling their sweetness.
Brian began to walk away he turned back to her, "Jenna," She said before he could even ask, "Dr. Jenna Ford," She completed the words she wanted to say, "Sasha is a wonderful woman," He began, "She deserves the best anyone can give her, she chose you, don't throw it away like I did, find a way Dr. Jenna," He stated, "I will," She was quick with her response. Jenna watched him walk away she braved up knocking at the stage door, "Who is it?" Sasha's voice called from the other side, "It's me, Jenna," Sasha opened the door, they gazed at one another, "Please come in," She shut the door behind her.
"For you," Jenna handed her the sweet smelling roses, "How did you know I liked yellow roses?" She sat them in a vase on the vanity, Jenna walked up behind her, "Someone told me," She swallowed hard, the fear of rejection from Sasha loomed in the air. "Why did you come?" Sasha turned around, they were face to face, "Because it was the right thing to do," She answered thinking of what Brian had said. "What about Maria, does she know your here?" She further delved, "Honestly no, we haven't exactly worked things out," She shivered feeling a chill in the room. "You should go to her and forget about me, please its too hard having you here," There was a sharp rap at the door, Jenna moved aside.
Sasha quickly opened the door, "Beautiful performance," Here mother bellowed, Sasha turned back to Jenna with a look, Margaret viewed the situation, "I see you've come to your senses," She barked at Jenna stepping into the doorway, Sasha looked perplexed, "I could go, you could visit with your mom," She began to walk past Margaret, "Nonsense," Margaret blocked the doorway, "You both need to settle things once and for all," She shook her index finger at them, "I'll see you when you get home," She turned her attention to Sasha, "Whenever that is," She grumbled under her breath shutting the door.
Sasha turned back To Jenna, "What do you want?" She locked her hands around Jenna's waist pulling her closer, Jenna's lips trembled, "I only ever wanted you," She wept, their lips met in a soft kiss, "I love you Jenna," She embraced her fully, "Let's get away from here," Sasha quickly changed they headed out to a small street side hotel checking into a room, The curtains were drawn, a small lamplight from the foyer gave way to the nude flesh of two women standing face to face. Jenna pulled back the covers, they slipped between the sheets, Sasha rolled on top of Jenna kissing and caressing the side of her neck with her tongue, "I miss the taste of you," She whispered into her ear nibbling at it.
