Please forgive me.....
Jenna sulked in the locker room changing to go home, Maria entered, "Hey," Jenna's eyes lit up, "Hey yourself," Maria walked up to her, "Look, I was thinking I'd stay at my sister's tonight, I really need to clear my head," She started talking as she placed her lab coat in her locker. "What, why?" Jenna moved closer to her, a sadness crossed her face, "I really don't care to talk about it now, I think we both need some space and I think you need to clear your head," She relayed calmly. "Maria," Jenna was stunned. "I don't need to clear my head, the opposite, we need to talk," She implored.
Maria tossed her purse over her shoulder, "I'll see you tomorrow," She walked out of the locker room without giving Jenna another chance to speak. Jenna rested her head against her locker thinking of the mess she had made tears dropped from her eyes she sniffed wiping her face and sitting to the bench. Jenna's thoughts were on Sasha and her need to see her she quickly changed heading for the theater in hopes of catching her.
Jenna entered the theater sitting amid several spectators her eyes focused on Sasha as she performed. Thoughts of her and their times together raced through her mind. Sasha gazed into the audience seeing her, their eyes met briefly with Sasha quickly looking away. Jenna suddenly felt cold and unsure of why she was there, Maria was a wonderful woman, one who she was committed to. The practice ended with the people leaving, Jenna waited.
Sasha waited until everyone left before she walked slowly towards a still seated Jenna, "Why are you here?" She was adamant, Jenna shrugged, "Maria moved out," She groveled staring into Sasha's eyes. "She loves you and she'll be back," Jenna frowned, "She was more then angry, I think she was finished with me, hurt very badly," She crossed her arms in a deep sigh. "You shouldn't have lied," Jenna interjected, "I wasn't about to involve you, I wasn't going to ruin your life or career," Sasha grunted, "I was going to give up everything for you, I loved you," She bit her lower lip looking away.
"Do you still love me?" She was quick to ask, Sasha wasn't sure of how to respond, "It's hard Jenna, I can't go back there, I won't be left with uncertainty," She honestly spoke. Jenna chuckled, "I can understand that, that's why I never returned, I love Maria and she understands me, I'm not going to push her, if she want's me back, I will consider it," Sasha sat down next to her, "Are you here for my advise? I'm not one to give it, I wanted to be with you, to see you with someone else is painful," She reminded her.
Jenna cleared her throat, "I know it must be impossible to think about what might have been," Sasha shook her head, "It is, I don't want to, I'm settled now and I have my mom and Sloan to look after, I left my career and the men in my life behind, I never thought it would happen again, I truly was in love with you from the first time we met," She wept and then smiled. "You change my life Sasha, you've made me who I am today and I'm grateful for what we had, it meant a lot, more then you'll ever know," She smiled, the fear disappeared from her heart.
"You didn't answer my question, why are you here?" They stood up together, "I think I'm still searching," She replied, "Had we not ran into each other, you'd live your life and be happy with Maria, you divorced Colin realizing what you really wanted," Sasha hesitated before continuing, "You never had any intentions of contacting me a again, fear of rejection, loss of affection, maybe," Jenna stopped her, "I think you've made your point," Sasha gazed deeply into her eyes.
"You should go and leave me be, our time together is just what it is, history, I was your first, Maria, well maybe your last, you have a good and strong connection, don't throw it away, be honest with her, if you really want to be with her, nothing will stop you," They walked to the door together, "Goodbye Sasha," Jenna reached her hand out to the side of her face caressing it for a second. Sasha grasped her hand gently lowering it from her face, "Goodbye, I only want the best for you," She let lose of her hand. Jenna turned and walked away.
