Painful truths.....

"Mom, I wish you'd stay," Margaret stood in the doorway with her suitcase, "No, I," Sloan interrupted, "At least let us take you to the airport," She implored. "A cab is good enough," She touched Sloan's shoulder, "Maybe you can talk some sense into your mother," Margaret cut Sasha a look. The cab rolled into the driveway, "I'll help you with your luggage," Sloan took the suitcase from her, the cab driver secured it in the trunk. Without another word from her mother, the cab left for the airport. "I'm sorry mom." Sloan offered, "I'm not, however I never wanted to drag you into either," She assured her.

"How about we go into the village and have dinner, we haven't been anywhere in a few days," Sasha gathered Sloan by the shoulder, "Ok, could we ask Jenna?" She broached, Sasha looked across the way, "I'm sure her husband is home and I think she needs to tell him the truth," Sloan frowned, "This isn't going to cause a problem is it?" Sasha furrowed her brow, "When you tell the truth, sometimes it's worse than the lies you've been telling the whole time," They walked inside. "You should brace for the backlash mom," Sloan warned.

The ride into the village was quiet, "A beer and burger," Sloan winced with an impish grin, "Silly," Sasha whispered as they entered the village grill, Trask sat at the bar nursing a beer he caught Sasha out of the corner of his eye. Sasha ignored his presence while she and Sloan conversed about school, "Well look who decided to show their face," Trask stumbled to the table, "Please Trask," Sasha blurted, "Please?" He became angry, "My daughter, Sloan, please be respectful," She gestured with her hand, Trask looked at her, "Trask Barron," He tipped his hat to her, "I guess your mom told you about me?" He had a devilish smile.

Sloan stared at him strangely, "I'm sorry, no she hasn't," He cut an eye to Sasha, "I guess she knows about Jenna then?" He clasped the table with his hands his knuckles turned white from the tension of their conversation. Sasha pursed her lips and started to speak, Sloan placed her hand atop Trask's, "Yes, I do know everything, however my mother was obviously respectful," Sloan looked at her solemnly, "She didn't drag your name into it," She looked back up to Trask, Nita walked in and saw the heated discussion they were having, "Trask, come on," She grabbed his arm.

Trask pulled away from her, "Don't touch me," He ordered, "You caused this fucking mess," He groaned pointing at Nita, Sasha's face became flushed, "So it was you," She voiced loudly. Nita felt caught in a trap, the man she wanted, the woman she attempted to ruin now in her face. "I uh," Sloan stood up, "My mother want's to know the truth," She became flustered. "Outside," Sasha demanded. They all walked out to the porch. "I'm sorry," Nita began, Trask chuckled snidely, "You're the same bitch and troublemaker you've always been," He crossed his arms and began to pace. "I saw you and Dr. Ford kissing," She admitted with a lump in her throat, "So you so desperately wanted Trask, you decided to ruin my life, my existence here?" Sasha comments were stabbing.

Nita lowered her head, "Know one else knows, yet," She gave Trask a heartfelt look, "I wanted him back, I knew he was seeing you," She told the truth. Sloan watched the argument begin to brew between Trask and Nita. Sasha asked to speak to Nita alone, they walked off the porch and into the parking lot, "How could you use me, Jenna in that way?" She questioned her. Nita shook her head, "I wanted him back, I knew I probably didn't have a chance," She whimpered, "That should have been for Jenna and I to decide, not you, you've made things so difficult, Trask is right, you've managed to fuck things up," Sasha growled angrily.

Sloan clutched the porch railing, Trask stood motionless behind her, "My mother didn't tell me she was dating you," She said cocking her head towards Trask, he groaned, "She wasn't, not really, I wanted to, but there was resistance," He muttered in admittance. "So you continued to pursue her, did she tell you that she wasn't interested? I mean it's obvious she did," Sloan turned to face him. Trask grimaced, "Yeah, she did, what was I suppose to do? Just give up?" He answered firmly. "My mother has lived in the spotlight most of her life she's had many trials and tribulations, she's dealt with idiots and cheaters," Sloan rehearsed boldly.
