Finding my way back to you.....
Sasha packed her belongings, "Thanks for the stay mom," She spoke, "I'll miss you," She hugged her neck, "I'm not that far and just a phone call away," She smiled brushing her mom's shoulder. "What about Jenna?" Margaret mentioned, Sasha shrugged her shoulders, "She has a lot to think about," She admitted, "She hasn't been around much lately," Margaret goaded. "She's not really sure she wants to leave New York and I don't want to stay," She answered walking to the door, "You could have the farm weekends, summers and holidays," Margaret was hopeful.
"No mom," Sasha gently pinched her mother's cheek between her fingers, "That wouldn't work, I love where I've chosen to be," Margaret interjected, "Maybe its too hard for her to return there, give it a chance," She walked out in the hall with her. Sasha looked back to her, "I never thought I'd hear you say that," She crossed her arms, the elevator door rang and opened. "I'll call you when I get back to the farm," She entered the elevator leaving Margaret in a sad state.
Jenna worked nervously alongside Maria on an emergency case, "He's prepped for surgery ," Jenna told the surgical crew as they wheeled the man away. "That was a pretty bad gunshot," She told Maria removing her gloves and preparing for the next case. "Yeah, bad," She walked away into her feelings, "Maria wait a minute," Maria stopped cold in her tracks and turned around, "There's nothing for us to talk about, you've lied so much," She clinched her jaw, "I know you must hate me," They walked out into the hall together. "I don't hate you, I don't hate anyone," She answered solemnly.
"What I hate is the situation, what you've done to me and this relationship, I loved you Jenna, finally someone like me," She pointed to herself, "Do you still love me?" Jenna prodded, "I do, but that's not what this is about, I don't love the situation we are in now, I don't trust you, at all," She smirked, but was rational. "I can only say I'm sorry, you won't accept my apologies," She gathered before Maria could speak. "Nothing will change, you love Sasha a great deal more than me, I can't compete with someone of her esteem and I'm not going to try," She wept angrily.
"Please," Jenna uttered under her breath, "I don't like feeling this way," She tried to clutch Maria's face she quickly pulled away. "Maria, we have to work alongside of each other, I need to clear the air now," Maria had a look of surprise, "Aren't you seeing her?" Jenna stared and then shook her head, "I love what I do here she loves the farm life, there's not a compromise for us," She spoke honestly still feeling the torment of it all. "This is more important than that?" Maria surmised.
"There are a lot of bad memories there, Colin still has the farm across the way, I can't put myself in a place that I don't feel good about, besides there aren't any jobs there," Maria quickly interjected, "You could open your own practice," She crossed her arms leaning back against the wall. "I'm not sure that's in the cards for me, I like what I do here," She commended. "It will be hard, I can't take you back," Jenna lowered her head listening to her words. "I know, I know you need to move on," She pursed her lips in disappointment.
"You'll never get over her, that need she fills in you, it hurt me to know you lied and didn't trust me with enough love to know I would've kept your secret, what now? I could be shitty about it, but really Sasha is not to blame she's innocent in all of this she had no way of knowing you did the things you did, you could've had her back," Jenna stopped her from talking, "I couldn't, I hurt her badly," She explained. "You're selfish and lack confidence in yourself, I can't put myself in that place anymore Jenna and as I've told you before, I won't," She walked away quickly glancing back at her.
"Its good to have you back," Frank Covington met Sasha at the door entering his general store, "Thanks, I've missed everything, tell me the news," She whistled, he handed her, her mail, "The baby came last week, Nita and Trask are doting parents," She walked with him to the counter, "That's wonderful news," She sat the mail down on the counter. "You look different somehow," Frank commented, "I'm good, actually I'm better than I've ever been, being away has made me realize I want to be here," She snickered. "Supply's today?" He smiled changing the subject, "Yes, I'm going to grab a bite at Mulligan's and I'll be back," He nodded.
