I had you once......

Sasha Addison paced steadily, a tattered booklet of lines rested in her hand. "So its true," A familiar voice startled her from her reading. "Jared, what a surprise," She voiced her blue eyes flickered as he approached, "I've missed you," His hand clasped her behind the neck as he pulled her into a tender kiss. "And how are you?" She gazed into his darkened eyes his chiseled jawline rigid his lips pursed staring at the curve in her bottom lip. "Work, you know," He frowned his hand running through a long lock of her ash blonde hair. Sasha pulled away from his grasp, "I'm more then ready, my last film, the last days, no more headaches, late night bullshit," She remarked with tension. Jared groaned, "I remember many nights of late night bullshit," He laughed loudly.

"I can't believe it, Inspired will be your last film," He mentioned she followed him to a set of chairs off stage, they sat down. "Yes," She lowered her head, Jared interjected, "You'll change your mind, this is your lifeblood," He begged to differ, "Nothing will change my mind, mom's widowed now, Sloan's preparing for college," He ran his fingers along the sleeve of her shirt, "I loved you, you know," She eyed him a sadness clouded him. "We couldn't make it," She grumbled, "My fault, I take the blame," He replied in a wince, "Allison Bragg, she can take the blame," Sasha stood up her response crass and sarcastic. Jared moaned lowly lifting his lean body from the chair.

"We can't go back," She murmured, "She will always be the force that drives you," She crossed her arms facing him closely. "It still doesn't change how I feel," Sasha smiled, "You love her Jared, cheating would've never happened," He raised his hands in the air, "It's the profession, its what professionals do," He cliched his teeth in slight anger, "It doesn't have a thing to do with the profession, you couldn't keep your pants zipped, I was too simple for you," She reminded him in quickness. "I admit you weren't the party girl," He chuckled, "And I'm still not," She relayed.

Jared facial expression became serious, "Do you still love me?" His heart raced in anticipation as he asked, "I will always love you," She hesitated placing her index finger in the cleft of her chin, "But just not enough, five years is a long time to pine away for someone who doesn't really own the key to your heart or your bed," She answered his throat tightened at her response. "Ok," He began to stumble over his words, "I deserved that, yes, I fucked a few girls," Sasha cleared her throat, "It doesn't make a difference who you fucked and how you fucked them over, cheating me wasn't in my deck of cards, again, there's no going back," Jared closed his eyes, "Where will you go?" He questioned with a deep sigh, "The countryside, I've decided," She honestly answered, "Huh," He thought about it, "I have these lines to finish before morning," She shortened the conversation.

Jared clutched her face with his hands gazing into her eyes, "I love you Sasha and I wish you all the best, please, whatever you do, don't forget me and what we once had, I had you once, its a shame I managed to fuck that up, stupid, that's me," He kissed her forehead. "Goodbye Jared," She whimpered as she watched him walk away she held back the tears as long as she could. "Touching, that Mr. Moody," Sasha's heart skipped a beat, "Gavin," She spoke plainly, "Are those lines memorized?" He quizzed rubbing the graying whiskers on his chin," She picked the booklet back up, "They are," She closed it and started to pace, "I must say," He began to rehearse, "You've been the best, no whining or complaints," He chuckled deeply, Sasha embraced his large frame toying with his loosened necktie, "You've been a gift, like a father to me," He grinned widely, "Leaving, it's good and brave of you, this rat race, long nights and days, cranky producers, silly, and immature actors waltzing their way through here like they own the place," He grunted.

"You've taught well," She remarked boldly, "Yes, to those who have truly mastered this profession, you're still young Addison," He barked calling her by her last name, "But smart none the less," He added, "Gavin Tracy, you're too much," She slid her coat on, "I'm about ready to leave for the evening," She further stated, "Where is Mr. Carr?" He questioned looking around, "Brian didn't show up, most likely drunk in some bar down the street," She uttered he walked her to the door, "We can't get production finished if he doesn't bother to show up," He shook his head tightly. "Fear not, I'm sure he'll be here first thing in the morning, no worries," She replied kissing his cheek. Gavin held the door walking her out, Sasha shivered, "Cold tonight," He placed his arm around her, "I'll walk you back," He insisted, "Filming in New York in the dead of winter sucks," She giggled, they walked along a row of travel trailers, "Enjoy it," He peered at her through his often tired eyes, "Yep, I shouldn't grovel, goodnight," She tapped his shoulder leaving him.
