Will

Will fingers fidgeted at his sides. His eyes were bouncing around the different guest that were beginning to gather. There weren't many people but it was still enough to make him nervous. He wasn't use to receiving much positive attention in his life.

"Oh Will." Amelia chuckled in awe just below his nose. She helped pin the rose on to his black jacket. "If you keep moving around one of us is going to get stabbed." Another chuckle came from her, eyes returning to the flower. "There." She smoothed out his jacket, looking up at him. "You look so handsome." Will smiled down at her. "Don't be nervous, darling."

"Thank you." Will chuckled breathy, cheeks flushing in embarrassment. "I know I shouldn't but I can't help it." He admitted sheepishly, glancing around at everyone talking in multiple groups.

"Just think of her." Amelia looked at her soon to be son-in-law, an adoring smile on her gentle face.

Will's dark eyes returned back to Amelia, a soft smile curling on his lips. "I will. It'll probably be easier to breath when I see her." This made Amelia giggle, grinning like she was Evelyn's best friend, eager to tell her what a boy said about her. Will couldn't help along with her, realizing what he had said to be romantic without noticing it at first. He looked at Amelia, his gaze growing gentle. Deep down, Will felt like he owes Amelia his soul for all that she's done for he and Evelyn. He couldn't help but take her hand in his, holding it as if she were his own mother, capturing Amelia's attention. "I've never thanked you...for all that you've done for us, for me." His words were sincere.

Amelia's head tilted as a sweet smile welled up on her face. She squeezed his hand, reaching up with a free hand to cup the side of his face, as if he was her own son. "You don't need to thank me for anything. You're going to be my son, I would do anything for you both. You two and Charles...you're my family." She stood taller, pressing a motherly kiss on Will's cheek.

"And all of you are my family." Will admitted, the hollow feeling of missing his mother growing in his chest. "But I still feel like I owe you so much." He watched Amelia pull away, still holding his hand comfortingly.

"Give me grandchildren and keep Evelyn happy her whole life and we can call it even." Amelia laughed, making Will let out a chuckle.

"Alright, deal." He nodded, an amused smile toying on his lips.

"I'm going to see how Evelyn's grandparents are doing." Will nodded. Amelia hesitated before rubbing Will's shoulders. "Breathe. It's your wedding day." She offered him a smile before turning to walk away.

Will let out a sigh, nodding to himself what she had just said. It was his wedding day. It was Evelyn's wedding day too. He knew she was be just as nervous as he currently was. He also knew that she was just as eager to see him as he was to see her.

'Maybe we're more alike than we think.' He thought to himself.

"Will." A voice greeted Will at his side.

Turning around, Will noticed it was Leo. "Leo, it's good to see you." He stuck his hand out, both men shaking hands. "Thanks for coming." Leo smiled, nodding in return. Will felt an odd sensation swirling in his stomach. "I'm sorry if this bothers you." Will motioned around him.

"Oh no." Leo chuckled, shaking his head. "It doesn't. I'm happy for the both of you. You both deserve this, deserve each other." Reaching out, Leo clasped Will on the shoulder, giving him a few friendly pats.

"It means a lot to the both of us that you're here." Will couldn't help but feel the corners of his mouth turn up at Leo's gesture. It was a relief to hear in Will's opinion. Sometimes it felt strange that he and Leo were on friendly terms. If it wasn't for the things that had happened, then they wouldn't be standing there having this conversation.
