You were annoyed with yourself for being such an idiot, an idiot that over thought everything which made you stress.
You had a big presentation due for the vip guys at your company and if you nailed this, you would definitely be promoted. Today was your chance at impressing them with your work and after waiting for years you were finally getting your big break.
If you cracked this deal, then your future would be looking quite promising at the company.
No pressure at all!but being a person with anxiety and major self doubt you began to naturally... doubt yourself and stress. Which made you misplace a folder that contained important documents pertaining to this meeting.
As you rummaged through drawers upon drawers ,turning the place upside down to locate the stupid file.You were getting all the more stressed out and hyped.
However, your amazing boyfriend Chris was helping you look for the file as well. He reassured you and helped in calming your pesky anxiety down as he too suffered from it and knew what a nuisance it was.
ʻʻCalm down,sweetheart we will find it. I'll help you okay?.ʼʼ His arms wrapped around you from behind and you leaned into him. He rubbed your arm soothingly to calm you down. You nodded with a small smile,kissed his cheek and then continued searching for it.
You knelt on the floor, your head buried under the office desk as you swept the ground for it. When Chris bent down as well,file in hand. and a cute little smile on display. Your eyes widened at the sight of the pesky item as you both stood up.
ʻʻMy file! oh my god,Chris.ʼʼ You grinned in pure relief, retrieving it from him ʻʻWhere did you find it?!.ʼʼ
Chris, rubbed the back of his neck with one hand and pointed to the top of a shelf with the other ʻʻIt was laying over there. I told you we'd find it!.ʼʼ
He then took your hand in his, his thumb brushing back and forth over your knuckles.
ʻʻYou are a life saver. I love you, thank you so much!.ʼʼ You declare, draping your arms around him making Chris place his hands on either side of your waist whilst yours layed around his neck.
Your boyfriend smiles at you ʻʻI love you too, now try not to worry too much okay? You are the smartest woman I know and I know a lot of womanʼʼ he joked.
You playfully frown and smack his chest making Chris chuckle and so do you ʻʻYou got this,Y/n I know you do! trust yourself. I'm aware that's hard to do but know that I believe in you and I'm 100% certain that you will get this promotion.ʼʼ
You felt yourself getting emotional at how perfect and supportive he was. He had always been there for you and it's not exactly easy being there for someone that has anxiety and self doubt but he gets it.
Chris really does and he is everything you had dreamt of in a partner,you were so incredibly lucky and that made you so emotional.
ʻʻHey, you okay?.ʼʼ He places a finger underneath your chin, making you look at him. You really did love his perfect blue eyes. You loved everything about him.
You nodded,dabbing at your eyes with your fingertips,keeping the little tears at bay. Chris tightens his hold on you and gives you a look which reads what's wrong?
You shake your head with a smile dancing on your lips.
ʻʻIt's nothing. I just... I really love you so god damn much,Evans.ʼʼ
ʻʻI love you too so god damn much,Y/l/n. Now go get that bread.ʼʼ He dorkily cheers resulting in your laughter but before he could let you go he places his lips on yours and kisses you softly, his hands cupping your face and you tug him closer.
Your phone beeps and you two pull apart. You quickly check it seeing a text from your friend telling you to get back to work asap.
This brings you back to reality and you untangle yourself from Chris. He pouts making you smile at how cute he is, so you pull him in for one last kiss. ʻʻOkay I really have to go.ʼʼ you giggle pulling away then grabbing your bag off the floor as you walk to the door.
ʻʻGo get em' baby!.ʼʼ Chris, encourages with a little cheer and your heart soars.
You turn around with the biggest smile splitting your face. You tell Chris that you love him and he says it back before you rush out the door ready to go "get em" as your boyfriend instructed.

another one that's been sitting in my drafts. Get you a man that's as supportive, patient, & kind like thAt. Chris Evans would be the most supportive and softest boyfriend ever and I'd gladly fight you on that if you disagree.
