Bucky Barnes stood infront of you in his uniform, his eyes staring into yours. You licked your lips and sighed ʻʻBucky how did this happen? You ... we.. can't,you leave for the war again, today. I can't lose you,Buck. It's already been so difficult worrying about you as a friend and now to do it as something more, I'm scared.ʼʼ
Bucky fiddled with his fingers before glancing up at you ʻʻI don't know okay? I just fell in love, Y/n. I fell in love with you. I mean how could I've not?.ʼʼ
This made your heart glow ʻʻbut I can't lose you.ʼʼ you whispered and he took a step closer, his hands holding yours ʻʻyou won'tʼʼ Bucky promised, looking into your eyes again. You looked down at your hand in his ʻʻHow can you be so sure?.ʼʼ
ʻʻI'm not sure about that,but I know this for sure, I feel something for you,Y/n and I'm not willing to let this go because of fear. His little speech left you with a grin on your face and a few emotional tears escaped your ducts as you wiped them away before bringing Bucky into your arms,embracing him.
ʻʻOkayʼʼ you declared and you felt his hold on you tighten. You layed your head on his chest and he held you close, his lips curling into a grin as he whispered back ʻʻOkay.ʼʼ

So I had this written for a week but couldn't post coz I had no data. I wrote this pretty quick. Hope you liked it :) i wanted to do this with 1940s Bucky coz damn he looked cute asf in that uniform also it was a much happier version of Bucky. What did you think of TFATWS?
