Chapter Eighteen . . . Creepy Ryan
Cat's POV
I walked into work the next day hand-in-hand with Gavin. Everyone in the office stared at us with confusion, except for Barbara, Lindsay, and Kara who all had large grins on their faces.
"What are they staring at?" Gavin whispered in my ear.
I grinned back at them before look back at Gavin, "Nothing Gavin. Nothing at all."
We continued to the office where we met the boys.
"OH GOD!" Michael yelled before gagging and I stared at him confused.
"What is wrong with you?" I asked.
"There is so much lovey dovey shit that it's making me sick." Michael explained with a grin.
What an idiot.
Gavin rolled his eyes and gave me a kiss on the cheek before running over and tackling Ryan.
I couldn't only laugh before walking over to Ray who had his headphones on his ears and was intensely staring at his screen and chewing like a horse.
I gently tapped on his shoulder and he turned to me surprised at first, and then he smiled showing off whatever was in his teeth at that moment.
"What are you doing?" I asked holding back a giggle.
"Editing." He said as he chewed and I raised and eyebrow.
"You want to swallow that first, buddy?" I asked and I watched as he swallowed.
"Sorry about that." He turned to his desk and back at me with a plate in his hands.
"You want some horse o'dourves?" I stared at the plate in front of me and then back at Ray.
"Uh, Ray? Those are cheese and crackers." He looked down at the plate.
"This is the Mexican version of horseo'dourves." He announced before throwing the plate down jokingly.
"Jeez Cat, be considerate." Michael joked before turning around at his desk.
Gavin came up to me and put his hands on my shoulders. "Awe, leave my girl alone." He jokingly whined.
"Who says I'm your girl?" I asked and his face turned to surprising shock.
"Well, who's girl would you be?" He asked and I watched as the group of guys came at least an inch closer to hear where this argument was going to go.
"Well, I have a list."
"Am I on that list?" Ryan asked being creepy like always.
Gavin looked at him and glared, "You better not be." He growled out and I got up off of my chair and walked over to Ryan and sat in his lap.
"Yep, sorry Gavin. I didn't know how to tell you. The Rat ship has sailed."
"Did you just say . . . the rat ship?" Jack couldn't get out between laughs, and even Gavin grinned.
"Your children are going to have bloody tails!" Gavin busted out laughing with the rest of the crew. Geoff's laughter boomed the most.
Once we calmed down I patted Ryan on the shoulder. "Well, thanks for the seat and the team name."
"Can we get Jon Risinger in here, like now? That has to be a shirt." I stood up from Ryan's lap and instantly Gavin was by my side with his arm around my waist.
"So wot about our team name?" He winked.
"Hm, how about team loves?" I offered and he kissed me on the cheek.
