Chapter Forty-Eight . . . Shopping for Names

Cat's POV

"Lindsay can I not wear a dress to your wedding?" I called from the dressing room where she and Allison were sitting and waiting for the big reveal of my maid of honor dress.

"What are you going to wear sweatpants?" She asked.

"I was thinking about going naked." I told her.

"Cat, please just come out and let me see it. If I don't like it then I will happily pick out a different one for you to wear."

I stared at the mirror one last time before opening up the curtains and walking out.

Lindsay and Allison both tilted their heads to the sides and stared at me.

"It's so bad isn't it." I sighed and ran a hand through my hair.

"No, it looks good." Lindsay smiled.

"You know it would make it even better if you got that pissed off look off your face." Allie grinned.

I quickly shot her the finger before walking to the all around mirror and stared at myself.

I did look pretty good, but I would look even better with my swollen stomach.

"I hate being big." I sighed.

"Are we going to have to go through this every time you try on something." Allie said as she walked up to me and threw one arm around my shoulder. "You are pregnant, not fat."

I ran my hands over my belly that was now showing.

I stomped my feet and whined like Geoff.

"Why doesn't Gavin have to get fat?"

"Because his nose is as big as your belly." Lindsay joked.

I gasped and looked down at my belly.

"What is it?" Lindsay asked concerned.

"Do you think the baby is going to have Gavin's nose?"

Allie looked at Lindsay then back to me while biting her lip.

"There is always that chance."

I couldn't help but groan while both girls laughed at me.

"It won't be that bad." Allie tried to comfort me but it wasn't working.

I shot her a look, and she quickly looked away.

"Lindsay, it's your turn." She said while walking away.

Lindsay came over and took her place.

"How about we get this dress rung up and get you ice cream?" She offered.

Every worry was erased when I heard the word ice cream.

"I'm going to get changed."

I quickly ran into the dressing room and started to change into my normal clothes. I just wished that my normal clothes didn't have to be a huge shirt and a pair of jeans that were buttoned by a rubber band.

I quickly ran out with the dress in my arms.

"I swear I've never seen you move so fast." Lindsay chuckled.

"Clearly, you've never been pregnant with a craving for ice cream."

After paying for the dress, the girls and I walked down the hall of the mall and went straight to Sweet Frog, where there was every flavor you could think of and any topping you could imagine.
