Chapter Thirty . . . Peggle Scare
Cat's Pov
I sighed as I sat down on the couch at Geoff's place. Yes, we were still living with Geoff for now, and I wasn't complaining.
It wasn't because I was going to be living with Gavin in our own house. It was because I was stuck with most of the work. Gavin wanted to help as much as he could but I was doing mostly girl stuff like picking out colors and decorations and furniture. Everything that the house could need.
"Hey Cat you're back pretty late." Griffon said as she walked in with a drink in her hand. She offered it to me and I took it graciously.
"Yeah, I'm just trying to get some stuff done before we have to move into the new house." I took a swig out of my drink and propped my feet up on the table.
Griffon took a seat next to me. "You've been coming home late for the last couple of days. You have to be tired."
"Fucking exhausted." I answered.
"You need rest to help you with your concussion. Have you been back to the doctors?" She asked concerned and I bit my lip.
I've been spending most of my time with shopping and getting ready for the house that finding time to go back to the doctor's wasn't exactly in my schedule.
"No, I haven't had time."
Griffon sighed and turned to get closer to me. "Cat, maybe you should let Gavin help you a little more." She offered and I chuckled.
"Griffon, I would love for Gavin to help me more, but he's not exactly good at the whole . . . decorating aspect. I mean he wanted to make a room in our house a MineCraft theme."
She chuckled before saying, "Boys go through that phase, usually when they are like nine, but our boys are adults and have the brains of nine year olds." I nodded in agreement before she continued, "When Geoff and I moved into our first home he wanted to make our room a Pac Man theme." She explained making me laugh.
"Where are our lovely boys anyway?" I asked looking around.
She rolled her eyes before shooting her thumb behind her. "They are working on a game of Peggle."
"They are still playing peggle?" I asked shocked. They were playing it since I left for the store four hours a go.
"They haven't stopped."
I stood up from the couch and stretched my aching bones. "You want to go check on them?" I asked and she nodded her head.
"Yeah. I haven't seen Geoff since . . . well this morning?" She asked herself, but mentally pushed it aside and stood up with me.
We went into the game room where Geoff was screaming at the T.V. and Gavin was laughing at him.
"Son of bitch! NO! I was so damn close." I couldn't help but giggle making the boys turn around to face us.
"Hey love, you're back." Gavin greeted and opened his arms.
I walked over and sat on his lap and pecked him on the cheek. "I am. What have you boys been up to while I was gone."
"Just a little peggle."
"Your boyfriend is a fucking idiot." Geoff said angrily. Griffon put her hands on his shoulders to calm him down.
"What did you do this time?" I asked Gavin who only shrugged.
"He's blaming everything on me. Nothing new." I chuckled and ran my fingers in his hair.
