The Start of a New Era (Koji Koda x OC)

The group was in their school uniforms and stood in front of the stadium, "Hello, everyone, and thank you for waiting." Mera said, "I'll now begin showing the results, but before I show you, I'd like to say something."

Mera placed his hand over his face, "In terms of how we tested this, we had two systems of point deduction that we combined to evaluate your performance." he continued.

Mera looked at the group, "In short, we examine both the nature and quality of the conduct in situations of the crisis." he said.

Mera pointed at the screen, "The names of those who passed will be in alphabetical order of your last names." he continued, "With that out of the way, here are the results."

The screen showed many names of the examinees; Mika looked at the screen, "Ly... Ly... Ly-" her eyes widened when she saw her name on the board. Mika smiled, "Yes! I passed!" she shouted before jumping in glee.

All of Class 1-A was happy except for Katsuki and Shouto, "Todoroki!" Mika turned to the back and saw Inasa standing before Shoto. Inasa slammed his head against the ground, "I'm sorry! It was my fault you didn't pass!" he shouted, "Please forgive me!"

Mika was shocked, Todoroki didn't pass. she thought. Shoto shook his head, "It's OK... I started it back then." he said, "There's no need for all of this." Inasa looked at Shoto, "You approached me openly and honestly." he continued, "It helped me realize some things."

Mika smiled a bit, "Wait, you're telling me that our top two didn't pass." Hanta said. Minoru waved his finger, "They failed because they are big-time." he said, "Their defined qualities worked against them here."

Minoru placed his hand on Shoto's shoulder and smugly looked at him, "The old hierarchies are falling." he continued. Tenya grabbed Minoru's cheeks with the palms of his hands before turning him away from Shoto.

Mika was annoyed as claws emerged from her fingertips; Koji placed his hand on her shoulder, "No hurting classmates." he said. Mika turned her head to Koji, "Come on... you know he deserves it." she whispered.

Koji nodded, "Maybe when we're not in public, you can." he whispered. Mika sighed, "Fine..." she said before retracting her claws.

The group heard a microphone noise, making them turn to it, "Moving along, we'll be sorting out the handouts." Mera said, "Your specifics of scoring are described on there. So read them carefully."

Mika had her results in her hands, "Wow, Momo! You got ninety-four points!" Kyoka shouted; she smiled, "That's awesome!" she shouted. Momo smiled before looking at Mika, "How did you do, Mika?" she asked.

Mika showed the paper to the duo, "I got eighty-six points." she said, "They said I lost a few points because I took too long asking questions on a bystander." Kyoka looked at Mika, "That's still a good score." she said; she blushed a bit, "Thanks." she said.

The examinees looked at Mera, "For those who passed, your new position will grant you the authority to exercise privileges equal to that of pro heroes." he said, "With that power comes great responsibility to society, and every action you take will be bigger; remember that."

Mika nodded to Mera's words, "As for those who didn't pass, you can still redeem yourself." he continued, "After you attend a three-month-long special course and pass your test, we plan to issue a provisional license to you all."

Mera looked at the group, "This will keep you busy with your normal studies, and you're more than welcome to try again in April." he said.

Katsuki glared at Mera, "Like hell I am!?" he shouted. Inasa smiled, "Special course!!" he shouted. Mika smiled a bit that the ones who failed will get another chance to obtain their provisional licenses.

(Small Time Skip)

At sunset, Mika held her provisional license in her hands with a smile, "My provisional license... that's one step down, but I still have more steps to go." she said, determined.

Mika placed her hero case down before grabbing her phone out of her vest pocket, "I better send a picture of this to my parents." she said.

Mika took a picture of her license and sent it to her parents in a text. Mika felt a tap on her shoulder, making her turn to Koji, "Everyone is getting on the bus." he signed.

Mika nodded before putting her phone in her vest pocket, "Right, just finished what I did on my phone." she said as she grabbed her hero case; Koji nodded as they headed toward the bus.

(Time Skip)

Everyone was back at the dorms on the co-ed floor, "So... normal classes tomorrow, right?" Kyoka asked; Momo nodded, "Well, there's no rest for heroes." she said. Rikido sighed, "That's life for you, but I wouldn't mind a vacation." he said.

Mika laid her back against a pillar, listening to their conversations; she felt a vibration in her pocket and pulled her phone out. Mika looked at her texts and saw a small video from her parents; she pulled her headphones out of her other pocket and plugged them in.

Mika placed one of her earbuds in and played the video. The video started with Saburo and Yuma crying tears of joy, "Congratulations, my little Mika! I knew you could do it!" Saburo shouted.

Mika chuckled a bit, "I knew you could do it, but I've never felt any prouder than this moment." Yuma signed. The parents looked at Mika, "Life in the apartment has been quiet since you moved to the dorms." Saburo said, "But... that doesn't mean you should give up on your dream."

Yuma nodded, "We miss you and hope to see you again real soon." she signed. The parents made heart symbols with their hands, "We love you, Mika... and take care." Saburo said before the video ended.

Mika sighed a bit before unplugging her headphones and putting them in her pocket. Mika closed her eyes, It's good to see that they're doing alright without me, but seeing them in a video from a text is... rather sad. she thought.

Mika was slightly gloomy, I guess... I'm feeling a little homesick. she thought. Mika felt fur and whiskers against her cheek; she opened her right eye and saw Koji with Yuwai in his hand.

As Yuwai rubbed his face on Mika's cheek, she closed her right eye with a slight grin. Soon after, Yuwai started licking Mika's cheek, making her giggle a bit.

Yuwai continued licking Mika's cheek until she started laughing before turning to Koji and petting Yuwai, "You're a needy bunny, aren't ya." she said in a cute tone. Mika smiled at Koji, "Thanks for that." she said; he nodded as she continued petting the bunny.

Mina watched the entire thing and squealed, "That was so cute!" she shouted. The couple looked at Mina before blushing a bit, "I didn't think you'd be watching." Mika said lowly.

Mina shook her head, "Why would I want to miss on something from one of the cutest couples in class?" she asked. Koji blushed a lot and looked away. Mika looked at Mina, "I think we're the only couple in class." she said; she nodded, "Exactly!" she shouted.

Mika sighed in disbelief, "Anyway, I have a question." Mina said, "How do you kiss Koda since he doesn't really have lips?" Mika blushed a bit, "Well... it's hard, but I manage." she said before looking at Koji, "No offense, Koji."

Koji's face was red before shaking his head, "Think you can give us a demonstration?" Mina asked with a big grin. Mika blushed a lot and looked at her phone, "Oh! Would you look at the time? It's getting late." she said.

Mika turned her head to Tenya, "We should head to bed immediately." she continued, "Right, class rep?" Tenya nodded and raised his hands, "She's right!" he shouted, "Everyone, go to bed so we can be awake for the opening ceremony!"

Mina pouted at Mika, "No fair!" she shouted before heading to the elevator. Mika sighed in relief, "Thank you." Koji whispered. Mika nodded before the couple went to the elevator.
