The Start of a New Era (Koji Koda x OC)

Coming from the Heart

After a good distance away from the others, Koji stopped running and looked around, "Where are you, Mika?" he asked himself. When Koji looked at the tracker, he saw a red dot for one minute, and it disappeared the next, shocking him, "What the." he said.

Koji shook the device and hit it on the side a bit, but nothing happened. Koji threw the device at a wall, shattering it into pieces, "Damn it! She broke the tracking device!" he shouted.

Koji calmed down, "OK, relax." he said, "I'll just have to find her another way." Koji started walking and looked around; when he looked forward, he saw a big rat. Koji got on his knees, "Come to me, big rat." he said.

The rat turned to Koji before walking toward him, "I need you to help me find a friend of mine." he continued, "She has neon purple hair and tan-like skin." The rat nodded before walking forward; Koji got up and walked behind it.

As Koji followed the rat, he could hear sobbing, That has to be her. he thought. The rat stopped walking and turned to its left side. Koji walked to where the rat was looking and saw Mika at a dead end, hiding in the shadows; he looked at the rat, "Thank you." he said.

As the rat walked away, Koji turned to Mika, "Are you alright?" he asked. As Koji stepped forward, Mika looked at him, "No!" she shouted, making him stop, "Please... don't come any closer." Koji nodded, "Alright, I won't move." he said.

Mika looked down, "It'd be best if you just stay away from me." she said. Koji shook his head, "I'm not leaving you here." he said, "We're waiting until Sensei gets here."

Mika looked away, "You're very persistent after what you saw..." she said. Koji tilted his head, "What do you mean?" he asked. Mika stood up, "You saw me with the villain in my grasp." she said, "I nearly killed her..."

As Mika walked out of the shadows, Koji saw her in a dragon hybrid with purple scales, "And I have a feeling that Momo told you about the incident when I was in daycare." she continued.

Koji looked down and nodded, "I injured twenty kids and two of my caretakers." Mika said, "The worst part of it is the twenty I injured moved, and the two caretakers quit their jobs because of me."

Koji was worried, "The times I've spent during my grade school, I've been bullied by some or most of the kids." Mika continued, "They would throw paper balls at me, pull pranks on me, and call me a monster."

Tears pricked Mika's eyes, "Whenever I got angry at them when their taunting worked, they would get scared of me and run away." she said.

Tears fell down Mika's face, "In middle school, there wasn't much bullying and pranks, but they always avoid me when I try to make amends and become their friends." she continued, "But it always ends with me alone... crying to myself."

Mika dropped to her knees and covered her face, "I try to cover it with a smile, but the pain... it's too much for me; I can't take it anymore." she said, "It's... the major reason I don't like to show my Quirk off as others would."

Koji looked at Mika, "Because you fear the ones you love and care for will fear you like a monster." he said. Mika nodded, "I know they will; even my parents feared me for a little while." she said. Koji hummed a bit and nodded, "I guess... I'm the first." he said.

Mika stopped sobbing before looking at Koji, shocked, "What?" she asked. Koji looked at Mika, "I don't fear you and your Quirk. I guess the people that bullied you and ran away from you fear your abilities." he said, "It can blind them from what people truly see."

Mika looked down, "If... if you say you don't fear me, then what can you see that others can't?" she asked. Koji took his mask off before smiling at Mika, "I see a beautiful young woman with a heart of gold and a strong spirit." he said.

Koji slowly walked toward Mika, "She's one of the smartest people I know and will defend any of her closest friends at all costs." he continued, "She's a strong fighter and has the capabilities of becoming a hero."

As Koji stood before Mika, he got on his knees and placed his mask on the ground. Koji placed his forehead against Mika's forehead, "She's also the one I fell in love with." he said.

Koji looked at Mika, "And I would do anything just to be with her." he continued, "If she became a villain, then I would too. If depression came to her and she ended her life, then I would end mine too." Tears pricked Mika's eyes as Koji held her in his arms, "It's OK for you to cry." he said.

Tears fell from Mika's eyes before crying on Koji's shoulder, "I'm sorry for what I've done..." she said, "I'm sorry... I'm sorry..." Koji shook his head, "It's OK." he said, "But... what made you lose control like that?"

Mika looked down, "That villain... was the real reason why my Mom is deaf... and why they're no longer heroes." she said lowly. Koji was shocked and looked away for a bit, "I'm sorry, I shouldn't-" Mika shook her head, "Don't be..."

Koji looked at Mika as she smiled a bit, "I wanted to tell someone about it... and I'm glad that it's you." she continued. Koji nodded before noticing Mika's dragon wings and dragon tail disappear.

Koji turned his head to the back and saw Mr. Aizawa with his eyes glowing crimson red and his hair floating. Mr. Aizawa closed his eyes, making his hair drop, "We should get going." he said. Koji nodded before picking his mask up; they got up and left the area with Mr. Aizawa.
