"Please never let me mix my alcohol ever again." Madi groans, complaining about the same thing since we've been at school. We were currently at lunch and she wore sunglasses to hide the fact that she wasn't wearing any makeup and also, her eyes were incredibly bloodshot.
"You were a lost cause last night." I laugh, drinking water from my water bottle. I look over to my brother outside sitting down at a table, a cigarette in his lips as he read from a book, probably to save his ass from not studying.
People's History of the United States.
Ah, history. This should be fun for him.
I let Madi sleep on the table for the rest of lunch and letting myself doze off. Last night was fun I guess. I didn't really have a lot of fun because I didn't drink but I didn't mind it. After Four had left I didn't see him the rest of the night, it's like he had disappeared completely. Speaking of, I look towards the entrance of the cafeteria to see Thomas and Four both come in, talking about something.
Four looks around, tucking a few stray hairs in his bandana, something he wore much of along with black shirts and black skinny jeans. He kept the earring in from last night also, and I had to admit that he looked pretty hot.
What am I even saying? Stop it.
He must notice that I'm staring at him with my cheek rested against my palm but I quickly look away, hoping he didn't see me but that all goes to shit when he slumps down in one of the chairs at our table. "This seat taken?"
"Would you care if it was? You already took it." I reply, sitting up straight. He shrugs and plays with some keys. "Are you lost, Five?"
"Not really, Jo." He retorts, his lips showing a mocking smirk signaling that he too can annoy me and twice as much as I could ever annoy him.
"What are you doing?"
"Well, I just wanted to grab some coffee." He says making me remember last night and how I said it was okay to go get some.
"Well, I don't think that the lounge area is still serving coffee—"
"Yeah, no I meant we could go get some. I know there's a Starbucks around. Although I'm not very fond of Starbucks especially since I got kicked out for giving them different names every time I got coffee." He rambles on making me stop him.
"It's only twelve, we can't leave." I state.
He lifts up his keys. "Says who?" A smirk finding its way to his lips once again.
"Yeah, I don't think I feel like skipping today. Thank you though."
"Have you never skipped class? It's really not a big deal, just tell drinky over here to give you the work later."
"Drinky?" I raise an eyebrow making him wave the keys at me. I sigh. I didn't want to skip school, but then I also have English next with this teacher who's a bitch to me for no reason. Could be her menopause.
I decide against waking Madi up, not that I could've to begin with since she's knocked out cold. So I quietly stand up and walk away with Four who leads the way.
We went through the locker rooms and walked through swim class. It was kind of cold outside so I'm at least glad I won't be making it today. Once out into the parking lot, Four walks ahead to find his car. It's surprisingly not hard to get out of school, they should definitely think about better security methods.
