"Please, Jaque." I sigh into the phone. "Just go home, okay? I'll be there by morning. And also, don't have anyone over while I'm not there."

Jaque groans in annoyance on the other end. "Get over the parental persona, Josephine. I'll be good." He taunts making me sit back. I knew not to trust a single word he said, but Four and I were already here and the school bus had left thirty minutes ago. So it's not like I'd tell Four I changed my mind and to have him drive us down to Napa when he already paid for the room.

"Bye." I say and with one last "yeah" on his part, the phone goes dead. I let out a breath as I sit back on the seat. Four and I had made it to the motel we were going to be staying in, I was currently waiting in the car whilst he grabbed the key card for our room.

After two minutes, he's walking back. "Everything alright?" He says making me get out of the car and nod. "If you want we can leave, we don't have to stay."

"We're already here." I say, grabbing my backpack where I kept my stuff. "I'll be fine." I assure with a small smile.

"Let's just have fun, okay?" Four says making me nod in agreement. Once inside the room, there were two twin beds on either side with a single drawer in the middle to separate them. "I know you're probably used to staying in hotels but I thought it'd be fun to stay here. Also, it was the only one close to the beach."

"I'm more than just my parents wealth, okay? I can assure you, I'll live." I laugh, setting my backpack down on the bed before sitting on it myself. It was hard but I can manage.

"They have a pool, want to?" Four says with a devilish smirk on his face. "It's heated and everything."

"I'm pretty sure I saw a sign with a curfew when we came in." I point out, removing my hair from its ponytail.

"I slipped the guy a twenty." He shrugs while removing his shirt. "You can stay here and get bored if you'd like." Four says whilst going towards the door.

I groan as I follow him, I didn't want to stay here alone and I did want to keep spending time with him. I watch as Four jumps in the pool before he comes back up for air, his curls falling over his eyes making me laugh.

He removes his hair from his face before swimming towards the edge. "Water feels nice." He smiles making me nod. I peel off my shirt and remove my shorts, I was still wearing my bikini from the beach.

I caught a glimpse of Four staring at me before he backs up to allow me to get in. The water was indeed nice, it was warm and felt good on my skin.

"So," I begin, paddling around Four while he followed me with his eyes, probably trying not to laugh at how I doggy paddled. "Are you finally going to tell me about yourself?" I ask making him hum. "I only know what you told me, and what you told me isn't enough for me to feel like I truly know you."

He nods. "Okay, what do you want to know?"

I'm taken aback. That was easy. "Um, everything I guess." I say with a shrug. "I want to know what makes Four, Four."

"For the record, I hate talking about myself, I think it's extremely narcissistic." He says and I give him a look that lets him know he was already beginning to annoy me. "I'm nineteen, I'm from London—"

"Now you're just starting the obvious." I roll my eyes making him go silent. We both stop moving and I notice we were at a close proximity to each other. "Tell me something true."

At this, he swims closer so there's no longer space between us. His hands snaked around my waist making me jump in the slightest. "Something true?" He questions making me nod and he hums. "I really like you and if you'd let me, I'd like to kiss you."

My heart drops and as I nod, he wastes no time in connecting our lips. Immediately, my hands go to his wet hair. He brings my legs around his waist before his hands reach the back of my neck to deepen the kiss.

Man does he have a way to redirect the conversation.

He swims to the edge with me still on his waist, neither of us daring to break the kiss. Once my back hits the edge, his hands move to grab the rail to support us. As our breathing intensified, so did the kissing. My lips felt numb and hot against his and I'm sure it was the same for him.

My hand left his hair, traveling down his torso to the hem of his shorts but he continued the kiss, not once stopping for air. I've never been intimate with anyone before so I don't know what drove me to reach down and touch him but I couldn't fight that urge. It was like instinct.

I turned my face away so now his lips were on my neck as I grazed my hand on him to feel him harden against me. My heart beat had sped up as I did it again, only this time I palmed him making him let out a groan.

This continued for a while before his phone went off with a notification and his hand grabbed my wrist. "What's wrong?" I breathe out, his breathing was still strong and so was mine.

"Nothing." He says, kissing me. "I think we should go inside." He says, backing away from me, taking his warmth. I watch as he gets out and grabs his phone, typing away.

When I get out, he grabs the towel and wraps it around me. I turn to him, watching as he smiles and puts hair away from my face and behind my ears before kissing the tip of my nose.

Whiplash is what I felt, I didn't know what had happened or why he pulled away from me so suddenly. We had only been here for no less than ten minutes and already we were going back inside.

Maybe I did something wrong? When I look up, Four is grabbing my hand, a faint smile on his ruby red lips.

After I showered, Four took his time in the bathroom and when he came back out I was half asleep. With one eye open, I watched him lay down on his bed with his phone. I could hear him typing away back and forth before eventually going to bed.

I wanted him to come and sleep next to me but I didn't speak as I watched him turn his back.
