After Four and I spent almost two hours at Molinari's, we left after he received a call which must've hit a nerve in him because his mood had changed completely. He seemed almost annoyed that we drove back in complete silence.

It was awkward, and from the first few times I've known him I've never seen him act or look so serious let alone pissed off. His persona has always seemed somewhat playful and like he is getting ready to say some stupid shit just to annoy you.

But not this time.

"Are you okay?" I ask. He is taken aback that I spoke but he composes himself as he props his head with his arm that was out the window.

"I'm fine." He says. "How was this non-date?" He asks making me relax in my seat as he drove.

"Pretty good," I say with a smile. "I almost want to go back already."

"Well then maybe we should. How about on the weekend?" He asks making me nod. I did want to hang out with him more often, he was kind of fun and tolerable.

Also, there was still questions I had yet to ask Four because three were not enough. "Sounds like a plan." I grin at him making him chuckle. Once he stops at my front gate, he looks to me.

"I'd like to keep hanging out but I've got some things to do." He says.

"How about if we hang out later?"

"I'm quite busy all day today." He says making my face feel hot. Oh no, what if he decided to stop hanging out because of my age? Jesus, Josephine. Just let him go.

"Oh, that's fine." I say as I open the door to the car. "I'll see you at school, I guess." When I close the door, he nods before driving away. I watch his car drive off before I finally go inside.

I'd be lying if I said his behavior wasn't weird at all. For the rest of the day, Madi and I hang out in my room after she came over with snacks because she was on her period and didn't want to suffer alone.

"Sounds to me like you like him." She says, taking a bite from her pop tart. She asked about why she was left alone in the cafeteria earlier today so I told her about my day of skipping school with Four.

"I do not." I roll my eyes while stretching on my bed. "We're friends. And he's older, by the way."

"Older guys are so yum and you didn't want to stop hanging out with him," She mocks me. Maybe I shouldn't have told her that. "Either he really did have stuff to do, or you freaked him out by how desperate you sounded."

I cover my face with my hands. "Don't say that." I groan. "Do you think that sounded desperate? I just didn't want to be home alone. It was only two in the afternoon." I point out making her hum tauntingly.

"The question is, what did he have to do that was so important he had to leave a hot girl home alone?" She wiggles her eyebrows making me throw a gummy worm at her.

"I mean, we'd be breaking the law if it was just us two home alone." I say but a smile reaches my lips by how stupid she was.

"I'm just saying." She shrugs. "He's worth breaking the law for." She winks.

"Well, he did say he worked." I add in. "Maybe he got called in? I don't know, honestly you sound obsessed. He's just a friend, nothing more."

"You enjoy his company?"

"Somewhat." I shrug.

"And dreamy?" She smirks.

"I guess?" I agree with hesitation. "Why are you thinking so much into it?"

"Because!" She says, grabbing my arm. "If you two end up dating you can take him as your plus one to your parents anniversary!" She grins like if she just came up with the brightest idea. "You can throw them off, you know since I'm always your plus one."

"I'm never going to stop bringing you to that event Madi, you don't have a choice. My parents expect you there."

"I know, I never said I wasn't going." She shoves me. "I've already got a cute outfit idea in mind." Her face brightens up. "I'm having Gucci modify it though, it'll be kind of an oriental vibe but with a touch of Gucci." I practically almost see her drool.

If there was anything Madi loved more than gossip, men and food, it was fashion. She lived for it. She's planning on going to college for fashion design, literally just for that reason.

"Sounds great." I say.

"What are you wearing? Oh, can you let me style you?" Her eyes widen making me laugh.

"I don't know what I'm wearing yet, but when I do you can even dress me yourself." I say, giving her what she wants making her clap her hands.

She stands up, groaning at the pain in her abdomen before picking up something from the floor, when I see it it was the piece of paper that Jaque said came with the doughnuts.

jo,
hope u enjoyed the donuts. thank me at (xxx) xxx-xxxx

"You're telling me that you've been hanging out and you still don't have his number?" She says as I reread the note. "And he got you doughnuts? Jo, you have to keep him!"

"It was the morning after your party, we've only hanged out like two times after that." I say and slip the note in my back pocket. And to think I threw the empty doughnut box away, I thought I had thrown the note out too.

Madi gives me a look of disapproval before she turns back to looking at her phone. After an hour or so of watching a movie, Madi leaves home leaving me alone in my room. I didn't even know if Jaque was here but I didn't want to worry about that now.

I contemplate on wether or not I should text Four, but I am curious as to what he's been up to since I saw him last earlier today.

just saw the note, I would've enjoyed the donuts if my brother didn't get to them first. Wyd?

I send the message without further hesitation and wait for his reply which didn't take long.

Finishing off my shift. U should come around sometime and let me train u :)

I roll my eyes, a habit I've been doing quite a lot since I met him.

Are you hitting on me? Sense my sarcasm :]

I laugh at my response.

Stubborn and sarcastic. Something else? One might never know.

Goodnight, Four.

Night, Jo.

As I shut my phone off, thoughts of Four cloud my mind. I was starting to grow fond of him, even though I know I shouldn't, his cousin was the one dealing my brother drugs after all.

But him and his cousin are total opposites, Thomas is a snobby jackass who loves having a different girl each week and as for Four, well, he's just Four. There's really not much to him.

I kind of hope he sticks around just to see where this leads.
