After I dropped Madi off home, Four drove me to the boxing club where he works. When we got inside, all that was heard were sounds of punching and sneakers squeaking on the floor. There were big industrial fans so the place was pretty ventilated and not at all suffocating like most gyms.

I watch as Four walks towards the small counter, reaching over it and taking out a clipboard. He writes something on it before nodding me to follow him. "What exactly are we doing?" I ask. He hands me a pair of white gloves before he grabs some type of flat gloves for himself.

"Training." He says.

"What do I need training for?" I ask with a small giggle. He helps strap the gloves on my wrists.

Four shrugs, placing us both in the ring. "It's good to learn how to box. It's fun, and you get to work out your arm strength." He puts up his hands in front of his face, the platform of  the punching gloves facing me. "First, block your face because that is the first thing everyone goes for."

"Like this?" I say, guarding my face with my gloves.

He nods. "Now all you have to do is punch where I put my hands, as hard as you can." He says and I do as told. I wasn't new to this whole fighting for protection thing. I did take karate classes as a child.

"I've taken karate." I say proudly making Four smirk, rolling his wrist from the impact of my gloved fist with his.

"Karate is good." He says. "We're in my world though, so boxing is what you'll learn." He says, hitting my arm with his glove. For the next few minutes, Four teaches me many boxing moves.

I even ended up knocking him down because he insisted that I tried a karate move on him. I felt strong and empowered being able to knock a six foot something man on his back.

"Okay, so come behind me," I say, trying to hold in my laughter at what was about to happen. Four does as told but he keeps his distance. "Closer." I say.

He hesitates but does as told, allowing me to feel the muscles of his chest. His arm is thick around my neck and when his lower area brushes with my ass accidentally, I jump slightly.

I hear him chuckle, coming down to my ear. "You okay?" He says. I regain my composure before swiftly bringing my foot behind his and dragging it to the front making him fall with a loud thud. "Shit." He groans with a laugh.

"You okay?" I smirk, hovering over him. When I reach my hand down to help him get up, he grabs it and brings me down to where he was laying down. "Ow." I laugh and so does Four.

"You knocked me down first." He retorts. When I look to him, he had his eyes closed and his chest heaved. The usual bandana was gone and was replaced instead by a hair tie holding back hair away from his face, though there were stray hairs sticking to his clammy pink face.

"You're not wearing your bandana." I say with a pout. He notices this and smiles, allowing me to see the dimple carve into his cheek.

"Didn't want to get it sweaty." He points out. "Do you have a curfew?" He asks, supporting his weight on his elbow.

"Yeah right," I say. "My parents are never even home." He looks away and nods. "Why?"

"Do you mind if we stop at my place so I can shower? We can go to the coffee shop afterwards if you'd like?" I perk up as he says this and I nod making him chuckle. "Let's go then."

I was surprised when we reached his place, judging by the car he drove I expected him to live in some gated community. But when we reached an apartment complex, I looked around.

Four notices this and unbuckles his seatbelt. "I know what you're probably thinking," he says, snatching my attention away from the place. "Don't worry, it's safe."

"Oh, I didn't—I wasn't saying anything, I—" Four chuckles at this before nodding for me to follow. Great. He probably thinks I was judging where he lives. When I'm at his side, I look up to him. "I wasn't judging where you live, just so you know." I say.

Four shrugs. "Eh, this place isn't all that great. I was just teasing." I nod and don't say anything else as I follow him inside. The elevator was out of service so we had to take the stairs, all the noise that was made was by our feet colliding with each step.

When we reach his floor, there's a woman and a guy waiting outside a door and when we approach it, it appears to be Four's. "What are you two doing here?" Four speaks up, bringing the attention of the girl and the guy to us. They were both tatted and the girl had a septum piercing on her nose.

Four stood in front of me and I could see his back tense up. "We've been waiting for hours, where the hell have you been?" The guy groans, throwing his cigarette butt on the floor and stomps on it, leaving it there.

"Busy." Four replies, unlocking his door and pushing it open. "Wait for me inside, okay?" He says to me. I step inside his apartment and look back to them, they all stared at me before Four shuts the door.

"Where'd you get her from?" The girl's voice is muffled though I am still able to hear her mocking tone.

"Isn't she the one you're supposed to—" The guy is cut off by Four.

"Will you shut the fuck up?" I jump at Four's bluntness. I hadn't heard him cuss like that before. "It's in my car." He says and I hear footsteps fade. What was that guy trying to say?

I'm the one he's supposed to what?

When I turn, I am greeted by darkness making me realize that the lights were off. Once on, I am able to see that the place clearly belonged to a male. There was a couch against the wall, a small tv stand with a small plasma TV.

Right next to it was the kitchen, there was a brown oval table in the middle with four chairs, one of which had a coat hanging off. The place seemed clean, except for maybe a few unfinished water bottles on the kitchen counter.

I take a seat on the couch, hoping Four comes back soon.
